I’ve been told that I have to have crown treatment now after only needing a filling, please advise me.

I wanted to change my metal fillings for white ones.I paid £150 to have one done and the experience was awful.THe dentist made me feel like a naughty school child making remarks such as”You can make this longer if you like”I was told my the receptionist that as he started my treatment then he would have to continue.The new filling I had was so uncomfortable and extremelely painful when I chewed but again I was told only “my dentist”could rectifty the problem.Reluctantly I have gone back to the same man to have another filling replaced but as I have been grinding down on a bottom tooth he now says I have to have a crown costing £490I please advise.thanks,

There’s a huge gap between my new crown and tooth, is this normal?

I recently had the crown/abutment placed on an implant in the tooth #14 space. There is a substantial gap between this new crown and tooth #15 and everytime I eat, food gets stuck in between the teeth and a toothpick must be used to get it out. Is this right? The dental assistant said this is just how it is. Any help would be much appreciated.,

I can smell decay in my mouth after my tooth extraction, is this normal?

I had a bad tooth extracted last friday and today is monday. Since it was extracted there has been a terrible smell of decay on my breath and there is a terrible taste constantly in my mouth. Is this normal after an extraction. The tooth that was extracted was starting to decay but all the tooth and root were taken away. Why have i got this smell of decay and taste of decay,

I JUST HAD SURGURY 3/17/2010 , I had an aggressive growth on my lower jaw bone and highland hospital removed it.I now have a metal plate in its place. THEY TOLD ME, it’s good for the rest of my life. or when I am ready, they can take a graph from my hip. I would like implants and a complete pretty smile.,

Is there something I can do to stop the decay?

Hello, at my last visit, my dentist told me that I have a decay where my bridge was put 25 years ago. he said that it is too late to do anything now as the bone is gone (!) , the gum is retracted and the roots are out, I am very concern with that diagnostic and surely there is something to do to stop the decay. I don’t feel any pain apart from when the dentist applies cold air/ water. I can’t afford implants at this moment in time , but can it get worse if nothing is done now ? Thanks for your help. What is the maximum times I can use the tooth whitening gel before it starts to harm my teeth?

I am applying tooth whitening with home tray. The gel I am using is : Temrex Corporation Freeport, NY 11520 START WHITE TOOTH WHITENING GEL 3g 22% Carbamide Peroxide US Patent No.R34,196 I have been applying this gel every evening and in 3 weeks, but the result is still not as my expectation yet. My question : is there any damage to my teeth if I continue to apply this gel in 2 weeks more. I mean what is the maximum times I can use this gel that wont damage my teeth ? Could you pls adv, thks.
