Thursday, April 15th, 2010
Q.
My daughter has been told she needs all four wisdom teeth removed, two of which are apparently impacted. Her dentist has said she can have them out in the practice but she really cannot stomach the thought of one being pulled out let alone four!! Several years ago i had all four of mine removed in hospital in one hit could she have the same?,

I would like to know my risks of going to the dentist. I have a tooth that is broken and decay. It is hurting everyday all day the last week. But I have a huge phobia of dentist due to a problem when I was younger. They gave me something that made me have a allergic reaction and I stopped breathing and all that so I am terrified. I have a few medical probs. I have a heart rate prob. thyroid disease, high blood pressure so i was wondering what are my options? Thnx.,

Is multiple surgery available and how much does it cost?

Q.
I wear braces and have done for three years. My teeth are straight and I want the braces off now. Thing is, my wisdom tooth (upper left) has come through and is causing a lot of pain by rubbing my teeth. Other gaps have been caused because my orthodontist takes so long between appointments. I’m also terrified of dentists 🙁 Is there a way i can get the braces off, teeth whitened and wisdom teeth out all at once? And what if I have a bad credit history but can now afford to make repayments?,

Can out of place tooth be fixed with veneers?

Monday, February 22nd, 2010
Q.
Hi, I have one tooth that I feel ruins my smile. The tooth to the right of my front 2 teeth is slighlty set back and shorther than my other teeth. If I smile on a photograph it can sometime appear that the tooth is missing altogether as it does not run flat with the others. Can this be fixed with 1 single veneer or would all of my front teeth need reconstruction. I am a very nervous patient who does not have lots of money to spare so I would also be interested to know how long/painful the procedure might be and what sort of price I would be looking at. Many thanks.,

I would like implants but am scared of the dentist – can you help me?

Friday, February 12th, 2010
Q.
As a child my front teeth stuck out and my carers were advised by professionals to remove one tooth form each side inorder for my front teeth to spread out. The braces helped however left gaps on each side. I have a bridge on my left side however I can see black/grey on top of the tooth near my gums. I have a gap on my right side which makes me feel uncomfortable. Plus one of my front tooth has discoloured and I think it my be a dead tooth.I have had bad experience with my teeth therefore very scared of going to the dentist. I would like implants but apprehensive and worried about the cost, how long it would take and the end result. Are you willing to take on a challenge? Can you help me? I am from Birmingham?,
