After root filling I have dark line on the gum please advise.

Thursday, December 3rd, 2009
Q.
2 months ago I had my teeth all made into crowns. Where I have a couple of implants and a root filling, there is now a dark line at the gum line. I have told my dentist about it and he says I should brush my teeth and make them bleed. I got a firm toothbrush and have scrubbed these gums and they will not bleed and the dark is still there. Also one of the teeth above these implants and root filling is very sensitive to cold and sometimes if anything hard gets into it it hurts. Because I am 68 years of age and went to the dentist for my teeth to be straightened, a decision was made by the dentist that I was too old for my teeth to be successfully straightened and that it would take a long time, that is why I have a mouthful of crowns. Is there anything I can do to make this ddark line around these 3 teeth disappear?

Recently done teeth crown causing chewing and biting problem.

Tuesday, December 1st, 2009
Q.
I recently had a bridge done for a missing tooth. One of the crowned teeth on the end has not felt right since day one. I cannot bite or chew near the bridge, even soft foods. I am afraid to go back to the dentist because I think he was very unprofessional and could he have taken the tooth down too far?

Is sub-standard material used for making dental bridges?

Monday, November 30th, 2009
Q.
Hello, I had a bridge fitted in April.Yesterday I bit a piece of sellotape off the roll and as a result a piece chipped off the bottom of my tooth. My dentist said I need a new bridge, I was told that bridges are only guaranteed for 3 months, I thought that fillings, crowns etc were guaranteed for 12 months. I had a bridge previously for 12 years with no problems (also using my teeth on Sellotape). This makes me wonder if the materials used are sub-standard as I have done nothing extreme to warrant the damage.
