I am not sure as to what cosmetic procedure I should undertake

Thursday, April 2nd, 2009
Q.
I was wondering if i could get some advice. I have two front teeth which have crowns and my jaw is very narrow. My bite is around 10mm compared to the average. Although my teeth are fairly straight I lose confidence when I smile as my front teeth are very apparant. I have been to my dentist and looked at othodontic treatment but am not keen on having a brace (I am 33 years old)and do not really have the time to do so as I may be working abroad in the future. I have also had a impression and new teeth placed onto the result to see what I would look like, however there is not much difference. I am really eager to have cosmetic work done but not sure what I can do. Please help as its getting me quite down. Many Thanks,

Will braces sort out crooked teeth?

Thursday, April 2nd, 2009
Q.
I’ll be turning 15 very soon. I have crooked teeth for which I’m currently wearing ceramic braces. My orthodontic treatment was done in India. So my orthodontist lives there. A tooth in my lower jaw looks like as though it hasn’t grown completely. It looks shorter than the remaining teeth in the jaw. My braces will be removed after a year. The teeth in that jaw are crowded. (1)Will that tooth ever look like the remaining teeth? (2)Will my crooked teeth get better? If so, how do crooked teeth actually separate out?

How do I reduce the length of my teeth

Wednesday, April 1st, 2009
Q.
Hello, i am interested on getting some cosmetic dentistry work done in the coming months – Basically i am unhappy with the length on my central and lateral incisors, ive always been of this opinion, i had braces when i was younger, and am very happy with the position of the teeth. They are just too big in a length way!I am now 24 and want to get it sorted out, is there any way i can have them filed down maybe 2mm, i don’t think i need veneers, they seem expensive. I think it would greatly help my self esteem. If i can get this done what do i inquire about to a cosmetic dentist? and would you have a vague idea of how much this procedure would cost? Cheers.

Feels like the bridge was tilted during the fitting and there is a gap between the bottom of my teeth and the top of the ceramic bridge

Wednesday, April 1st, 2009
Q.
I had a bridge fitted which included 1-4R + 1-4L to replace my 2 front teeth (8 teeth in total upper) in 2005. Unfortunately, there is a gap between the bottom of my teeth and the top of the ceramic bridge (behind) and I am worried about the life expectance of MY teeth as they are very difficult to floss at the back. Feels like the bridge was tilted during the fitting. The dentist that did the work relocated to South Africa after the work was done and I have been unable to get my new dentist to take me seriously (not his forte)other than ‘looking after them’. Please advise me if I aught to find another dentist? (very scarce in this area). Is it possible to have a bridge refitted? How much would it cost (about)? I would apreciate any advice you could offer me, type of dentistry etc. Many thanks

After removing braces my teeth are starting to move back

Wednesday, April 1st, 2009
Q.
Hi I had my braces taken off when I was 16 and then had to wear retainers for some time. I’m now 17 (close to 18) and my teeth are starting to move back – it hasn’t really been that much of a problem until recently when a couple of my teeth have started to push on each other when I close my mouth – this leaves a sore feeling in my mouth especially in the morning. Would my orthodontist be willing to fix my teeth again for free? All my other teeth are fine it’s just one at the top and one at the bottom. Thanks
