Hi there, as a new qualified VT, i want to improve my skills in cosmetic dentistry. i have had a few simple veneer smile design cases, but is there any other things i can do, go on courses that i can improve this skills, having qualified recently i cant afford a lot of money on the courses.

Can eastern european countries provide high quality dentistry?

Hello Dr Kailesh, Please could you help? i have spent a lot of hours on the internet trying to find a good comestic dentist. I am actually thinking of going to Germany or Budapest. However i am also worried if eastern european countries can provide high quality treatments. As you are aware comestic dentistry in the UK is extremely expensive. Hi i am now 18 and have been unhappy with my teeth for a long time. they are not the colour i want and i feel my front 2 teeth at the top are too big. i dont know alot about teeth veneers or other options in order to get the perfect smile i am after. I want the best result i can but i am still in full time education so am looking for a cheapest option. what would you suggest. i also want them to last a good few years and not do any permanent damage to my teeth. If you could include costs that would be great.

Advice on gap between the back of the crowns and gums

I had an absess in my upper gum and even after treatment my tooth began to darken, last year I told my dentist this was a problem as it was at the front of my mouth and showed when I smiled. He chose to fit a crown, this was done last year and although I am getting used to it it still does not feel right. I have just been to a check up and mentioned my concern to my dentist but after checking it he says it is fine. I feel like there is a gap between the back of the crown and my gum and fear food, fizzy drink etc are getting in behind it, is this normal to feel this?

How to repair crooked teeth without extracting them?

Hi i’ve had crooked teeth for a long time. When i was a teenager my parents couldn’t afford to get me braces, back then i didnt mind the way my teeth were i guess because i was so young i didnt care, but now i do not like smiling because my left front tooth sticks out ( i have an overjet) and its really unattractive. i am 21 years old now and i want to get them fixed but in a way scared because 3 years ago i went to an orthodontist and he told me i need 4 teeth extracted because i have severe crowding, over jet, and an over bite. i was actually hoping i would be a candidate for invislign but i wasnt. so here i am 3 years later and i want to get them fixed so bad. i just do not want to get teeth extracted. Now my question is when that orthodoctist said all that to me 3 years ago. Do you think i can be able to fix my teeth with out getting any teeth pulled out? and i just read about the 6 month smile, do you think i will be a candidate for that?.

My canine was removed in childhood can i get it restored now?

As a child my dentist removed a single canine tooth. As a result the centre line of my top teeth is about 3-4mm off centre from my lips, resulting in one-sided appearance. Is it possible to restore the centre line using crowns or implants? Many thanks

Dear Dr. Julian, Good Day to you! Hoping that you can help me with my teeth problem it was 10 years ago that my old dentist told me that Im having full denture, to shorten my words that time we dont have money coz i came from poor family, im a filipina and recently working here in Dubai, Im planning to have my vacation and fix my teeth.. Now at this point my upper teeth is all faded i dont know what the exact term or words to used. some of my teeth gone already to the point that only left little in my gums, im using false teeth for 10 years, nearby tooth is damaged. please advice me what to do and what to have? please let me know the budget i shoukd pay… thank you.. I lost teeth in a accident and i want to have my smile back

I had an accident and lost my 6 upper teeth and 6 lower teeth and had implants put in. I am 60 years old, blond, elegant modern and trim and would like to have a nice bright smile as I used to have. Here in Switzerland they are very conservative and as temporary teeth they have installed in my mouth some greenish teeth and I look like a smiling corpse! – my question is: what are the colours of teeth you would use in London for a bright smile if you do not have to adapt the colour to other teeth?
