Can I Fix My Overcrowded Teeth?

Tuesday, May 7th, 2013
Q.

Hi there
I only ever go to the dentist when I get pain, because I am very embarrassed about the state of my teeth. They are so overcrowded and I did go to the dentist when I was young but got scared and kept putting off appointments, however I am now in my late 30’s and really need to sort then our, just hope it’s not too late!they cross badly at the front on the top and in the bottom they are even worse, I won’t smile and it’s really upsetting me and getting me down, I don’t have £200 to have new teeth fitted but I just want someone to help without it costing me £1000’s of pounds
Thank you.

How Much Would It Cost For Screw In Teeth?

Friday, May 3rd, 2013
Q.

How much would it cost for screw in teeth? My teeth are in bad condition and every time I get them fixed they just seem to be going the same way? The top ones are all rotting away, I can’t smile at anyone and I don’t even like speaking to people face to face in case they see my teeth, I work in a pretty busy shop and can’t even talk to the customers. Or other members of staff because of this, would be great if you could give me any information about screw in teeth and how to go about getting them a fixed. It really is hindering my day t day life and I just want a resolution to it because my confidence is taking a real battering at the minute. Hope you can help me somehow! Thanks.

What Can Be Done About My Daughter’s Fluorosis?

Monday, April 29th, 2013
Q.

Hi,

I am a New Zealander living in Stockholm .Sweden.
We have an 11yr old daughter with fluorosis. She was exposed to too much fluoride around 5-8yrs old.
It is affecting her confidence and she is constantly being questioned about her yellow teeth. She has 2 large white spots on her front teeth.
At times the white spots are very prominent. The difference between her baby teeth and permanent teeth are extreme. We have been trying Mi Paste but have not seen any difference. We hope that this may help strengthen her teeth. Should we be using a fluoride toothpaste…if so, which one?. We are suffering with this and wonder what options we have . We realise that we probably have to wait until she is older…or does she? We would appreciate your thoughts regarding treatments. Is there anything that we can do now?
We are more than willing to visit your office.
A big thanks.

I Am Ashamed Of My ‘Goofy’ Teeth, Can I Get Veneers On The NHS?

Monday, April 15th, 2013
Q.

I’ve been unhappy with my teeth for 8 nearly 9 years, once I started secondary school I got bullied because of them, the main name i got called was goofy, and now when I show my teeth I place my tongue over them so no one can see them, for many years I’ve been depressed over them. It has severely knocked my confidence but now it has come to the point where I wanna get them sorted and after researching thoroughly it seems veneers are the best way to get them sorted. I’m not the richest of people as i’m on maternity leave. I was wandering if id be able to get the veneers on the NHS?

How Much Would Composite Veneers For My Front Teeth Cost?

Friday, April 12th, 2013
Q.

I have very thin teeth, they are health. I have no fillings whatsoever. However as they are very thin it makes me feel paranoid. They are starting to look almost cracked along the bottom and I want something that will almost protect them while increasing my confidence in my smile. It’s important to me to look good and be able to smile in front of my friends and family but this is knocking me, I’m such a happy smiley person normally, but this is changing me. What I am looking to get done, would be composite veneers on my top front 6 teeth. How much would this cost roughly and would I be able to pay monthly or would it need paid all at once?
Many thanks.

I Cannot Get Finance But Need My Teeth Fixing, What Can I Do?

Thursday, April 11th, 2013
Q.

Dear Dr, my question is of a desperate nature. My teeth are not in very good condition through medication I was taking 13 years ago it’s having a traumatic effect on my life I’m always conscious about smiling or laughing and it deeply depresses me, I have had a look at your gallery and I must say your dental work is remarkable, my question is what treatment or dental plan could be set in place for someone like me who is a self-employed Electrical Installer and I earn around £460 a week. I have applied for finance in the past but this was declined even though I’m not in debt or have never had a bank loan, any advice you could offer would be very much appreciated I look forward to hearing from you.

Regards.

My Fillings Have Stained My Tooth, What Can Be Done?

Monday, March 25th, 2013
Q.

Hi there,

I have two very large amalgam fillings in my first molar (?!) on ether side of my top row of teeth and they have stained what little remaining tooth I have left a horrible grey/black colour. When I first had them done I didn’t realise they were going to be so far forward and visible in my mouth (4th tooth along from centre on either side). Every time I smile and even speak they are visible and I absolutely hate them. They have ruined my confidence and I have seen my dentist about replacing them but he says they are too large and even more of the tooth would have to be removed. I guess he is right but after years and years I just want to be able to smile properly without covering my mouth!

What options are available to me please?

Thank you.

I Have A Gap Tooth That Seemingly Cannot Be Fixed By Braces, What Can Be Done?

Thursday, March 14th, 2013
Q.

Hi
I have a gap in the middle of my teeth and fit a lolly pop stick in it so quite large
I have had braces and it came back in a week while they are sorting my retainer out. Like I don’t know why or how this happened but it is very frustrating and knocked me quite a bit. To have it actually seem as though it is fixed and then be back to square one within a week is kind of demoralising and I need to try and get some expert advice or help on how to get it properly and permanantly resolved. Whenever I am with friends and stuff it affects the times I have negatively, like  it gets me really down, and hate smileing
the skin in the middle or the gap and get quite sensitive and sore at times
what is the best soultion for this?
and kind of costs im looking at?
any advice you be greatly apprectated
Many Thanks
