Q.
Your website quotes CEREC price for crown – but what would be the price for a single CEREC ceramic veneer?

My teeth have greyed after trauma and root canal

Friday, July 4th, 2008
Q.
I recently had trauma to 2 of my front teeth (front left and next left), and had root canals. The teeth have greyed and im having internal bleaching on the teeth. I have been advised that I could avoid crowning for a number of years and have spoken to people whose front tooth has lasted 15 years, the NHS dentist said I should not rush it anyway as i need to see how the root canals progress and whether they are successful. Im very depressed at the moment as the trauma was caused when I was assaulted. I have had a great life to date and only recently married. This has left a huge dark cloud over our lives and time in our new house. I have no other problems with my teeth and only ever had one filing. Now I cant bite down on food and my tooth colour has not returned to a satisfactory colour. Im scard of crowns and implants and with a high flying job cannot be out of work for long- is the cerec crown the way to go? We dont have much money at the moment with moving and the wedding so need the best solution for reasonable cost- please advise

My dentist says I need a full mouth reconstruction which I cannot afford

Thursday, July 3rd, 2008
Q.
I have 7 old crowns and all my teeth are filled. My dentist has said my back teeth are breaking away and my gums are in bad shape. I am currently going to have root cleaning treatment as well as regular visits in between to the hygienist. I desperately want my crowns replaced. Is there anything that will prevent me from having cerec, my other dentist told me I need a full month construction for 30k. Which I cant afford, but would like to replace my cronws. any suggestions.

I have sensitive teeth after a cerec crown

Wednesday, July 2nd, 2008
Q.
I have one Cerec crown and due to have more. However I am nervous as when preparing this particular tooth some of the dentine of the tooth has been left exposed. It is sensitive to cold (wasn’t a problem before) but has settled down a little. My dentist coated the area but I am not happy about it. Having had this treatment done on this tooth I feel it should have been better than this. Please could you advise what to do and whether to trust this would not happen to the other planned teeth.

I has a fall and cracked my front teeth will veneers be suitable

Monday, June 23rd, 2008
Q.
Hello, I hope you can advise me on this. I am very upset and disappointed because i had fixed braces removed last year with good results. Unfortunately following a nasty fall my front two teeth are now cracked and one of them has a chip in it. I am really sad as i didnt want to go down the veneers route, however i must fix this as its really getting me down! I am going to just have to accept the fact that i need to pay to sort it out. What i’d like to know is, is it possible to have veneers placed on just the front two, or front four upper teeth? or would this look odd compared to the rest? my teeth are very straight so it is my hope that they would not need to be shaved down very much. Basically i want to replicate my natural teeth. Do u think that veneers can look natural? many thanks for your time and advice.

I have turned 40 and need to do something about my smile

Wednesday, March 19th, 2008
Q.
I’ve recently turned 40 – yuk – and decided to do something about my smile. I have a crown on the tooth next to my upper canine which is now more yellow than white and two veneers on the bottom front centre teeth which “wrap” over the top of the teeth to make them slightly longer, similarly they are slightly discoloured. I have previously whitened my teeth which looked wonderful except for the crown and veneers! I have since then tried to “top up” the effect because I am a smoker and drink a lot of tea and over the years my teeth have lost the whiteness again.

I was told to re-do the home whitening and did so – this time I developed some white spots on two teeth, a recent visit to a different dentist revealed that the home system I was using is fairly ineffectual and old technology – I had to use it overnight and my teeth had become sensitized. I am now using the home system by Zoom called “Day White” at a 9.5% strength for an hour a day to try and restore the former whiteness.

My two top centre teeth have had composite work done to fill an existing gap when I was 20 and the mid-line is slightly off. I would like a brighter smile and whiter teeth and after much research believe that veneers are the best way to achieve this (obviously I also need to replace the existing crown). I’ve been interested to read about your “one-day” onsite smile makeover and although I can see the benefit in having an onsite technician who can exactly match the veneers to the patient, am interested to know whether veneers created in this way are as good, quality and durability wise, as the more usual veneers one has to wait a number of weeks for. I was recently told that German and American labs produce far better quality – is this true? L

What are the best veneers lumineers, cerec, J.Kim ?

Sunday, February 10th, 2008
Q.
Having just had a quote from my dentist in Liverpool I felt more like I was being sold double glazing the way in which the price changed. I already have a now dated bridge in place of 3 teeth + 3 crowns + am looking to have veneers over my ten top teeth. I think I also need gum reshaping + obviously whitening of bottom teeth. My dentist recommended J. Kim veneers and said they were by far the best, but going on various websites everyone says differently some saying lumineers, cerec etc. Some even say they will do the whole process in one day, is this advisable and what veneers do you recommend? I would prefer to travel a bit to find someone who I could trust, do you do free consultations in Birmingham or if not is there someone who you could recommend. I do hope you can help.
