Q.
Hello I keep having trouble with my back teeth. My dentist gave me a filling both back teeth on either side because I had a cavity in both but the one on the left has not helped at all. I want it removed, will it make much difference to my jaw and eating?,

My enamel is disintegrating on my incisors could you advice

Thursday, October 22nd, 2009
Q.
Dear Dr. Solanki, Having always looked after my teeth, I am very dissapointed to see that the enamel is visibly disintergrating on my inscisors. Twenty years ago the same problem occured and I was given crowns on my two front teeth, which I know feel look too large for my mouth. I am unsure what to do. I have a problem visiting the dentist (though I always do),having had a few unhappy experiences. I would be very grateful for your advice

Ive a hole in my gums and im worried about toxicity leaking advice

Thursday, July 30th, 2009
Q.
Hello Dr. Moore: Thank you for answering my question, and with such quickness. I have a follow up question to ask you. The tooth I was telling you about in my first question has broken as a result of an unattended cavity which I had not realized had rotted part of my crown. As a result I was eating something which broke the tooth in half (the crown). So I now have a hole in my gum where the tooth use to be. Would you still recommend using mouthwash and brushing? Also, from your knowledge and sound of my case is my tooth able to be salvaged and should I worry about any toxicity leaking into my system at all? Is this something that requires immediate attention, it just happened yesterday and I probably won’t be able to make it to the dentist until saturday sometime should I try to go in sooner? Sorry for all the questions and I appreciate your response once again!!! Thank you

I heard that whitening my teeth while having cavities is not good Why is that so?

Saturday, July 25th, 2009
Q.
Hello Dr. Andrew, I would like to whiten my teeth however i think i have some cavities. I heard that whitening my teeth while having cavities is not good.. Why is that so? I can try to whiten my teeth, however, I don’t think I can afford to treat my cavities because i do not have the dental insurance. Is it okay to try some teeth whitening products while having cavities? How would it affect my teeth? Thanks!

The dentist told me that sealant in one the molar came off can a cavity develop that quickly?

Friday, July 10th, 2009
Q.
I took my 9 yr old daughter for exam and cleaning last week to my dentist. After the cleaning, the dentist told me that the sealant in one of her molars came off and there were 2 stain pits. She said next time we come back, she would need to open up the tooth to see if it needs filling. My daughter was previously seeing a pediatric dentist and had cleaning done 5 months ago and at that time, her sealants were still all intact. Can a cavity develop that quickly? I am afraid of having the tooth drilled and opened if there is no cavity. I have been taking good care of my daughter’s teeth so I am not sure how she got the stain pits. Do we have another option for treatment?

My dad s dentures the bottom teeth are all brown in colour can dentures have cavities?

Wednesday, June 24th, 2009
Q.
My dad has had his dentures for 5 years now and he just lost a bottom tooth with eating his supper. When I looked at his dentures the bottom teeth are all brown like they are decaying. Can dentures have cavities? They sure don’t look that great but he does soak and brush them every night. Is this normal to loose a tooth from the dentures?

Q.
Hi Dr. I have about three cavities and need my wisdom teeth out as they are growing towards the rest of my teeth so are causing discomfort. I also have gum disease and is making me uncomfortable in social situations. what im considering is having dental implants and having my wisdom teeth extracted also, but will this get rid of my breath and gum problems and can you give me some sort of price?
