My dad s dentures the bottom teeth are all brown in colour can dentures have cavities?
Q. My dad has had his dentures for 5 years now and he just lost a bottom tooth with eating his supper. When I looked at his dentures the bottom teeth are all brown like they are decaying. Can dentures have cavities? They sure don’t look that great but he does soak and brush them every night. Is this normal to loose a tooth from the dentures?
A. Dentures can break as they are only plastic. the discolouration is stain. Perhaps if you get them repaired they can polish them at the same time.
