I didn’t receive the dental treatment I expected, is this right?

Q. I have had some work done on my teeth which needed fillings 3 at the front and 1 and the back. The whole work took an hour and i look totaly hiddious . i needed a plate as well where the nhs dentist said i woould have to wait 6months, as i explained my teeth are breaking because i need this treatment. i have a broken tooth which there was a crown and nothing has been done, my teeth are stained and werent polished .. and now i have been told to wait 6months and see how i go.. Is this correct procedure,
A. At first glance it does seem unusual. If you are not happy or need clarification of the way your treatment has been staged, the first stage is the practices own complaints procedure ( ALL NHS contract holders must have one, and you should ask for a copy) If you are still unhappy after a formal written complaint the written procedure your practice supllies will give details on how you contact the NHS Primary Healthcare Trust (PCT) to escalate the complaint.
