hi i am 22 year old boy and have wanted to improve my smile for a long time, my friends says that i do not smile, especially in my pictures. Also I never smile, just full stop it makes me seem miserable………..i laugh lots and lots but rarely smile and my teeth are little irregular. What i mean by that is food particles can get easily sucked in my teeth and its difficult to push your brush in there. i want a smiley face and whenever i smile my teeth will show without any worry. I want to impress others with my smile because i feel like i haven’t done it before. Can you suggest for me what you think would be good? I don’t want to wear braces for a long period of time and i don’t have that much money either. please just give me some advice. anything at all! thank you so much dr.

Tuesday, July 2nd, 2013Hi when i was a child one of my front teeth didn’t come through properly and became slanted like wonky,my Dentist gave me braces and it didn’t help much it straightened out a bit but when the braces where removed the tooth went back into its original position and has since moved a tooth either side of it while it was going back into position from the braces.Over the years it has caused me a lot of distress i suffered badly with bullying and low self esteem now at 21 i really want this sorting as it would be a huge lift of my shoulders and feel like i can finally smile i haven’t smiled for photos in years because of the issue.Would the best course of action to have the 3 teeth removed and replaced with fake ones? also is this possible on the NHS i cant seem to find anything helpful through google searches which is how i came along this website,also if it helps the 3 teeth are front 3 on my top jaw

Should I My Tooth Be Realigned To The Central Line Of My Face?
Friday, June 21st, 2013 I am 16 years old student residing in Saudi Arabia.
It has been 1yr and 3 months
since i got my braces. I had extraction of 3 teeth ,1 incisor in the upper left jaw and the 2 incisors in the lower jaw.
After filling the gaps, the dentist now says that my front tooth is not in alignment with the central line of my face. He suggests shifting the teeth again. As far as i know, it was in alignment before i got my braces.
My question is, is it necessary that i should get my tooth aligned to the central line of my face??
Will it make any difference if i don’t get it done??
Another thing that keeps bugging me is whether after getting out my braces my right will be straightened for the rest of my life because i have heard many people saying that the teeth returns to its original position after getting off the braces.

Can I Straighten My Teeth Without Braces?
Tuesday, April 30th, 2013Hello Doctor, so I’ll start you off with the main point of my question, okay, I have just the ONE slightly one crooked tooth on the top row. I had straight teeth before and my extra teeth grew in the back and pushed all my teeth forward and made my teeth (or my one tooth) crooked -.- is there any way to make my teeth go back to normal without getting braces ? I really really really really do NOT want braces because then I’ll probably have a garish piece of metal in my mouth and that’s not pleasant for anybody really. But, you are the expert and if I do need braces about how long do I need them for ?also I brush my teeth EVERYDAY and night and they are still yellow very very yellow I do not drink coffee either is there anything I could do ? or a tooth paste you recommend for me ? thank you so much.

Tuesday, April 23rd, 2013Hi, I would like to ask a question regarding orthodontic treatment I had done when I was younger through the NHS, I had braces in for a few years and even had two top teeth taken out to make room for my teeth whilst my braces were on to straighten my teeth, after few years my teeth didn’t straighten much and I was told this was because I have baby roots and due to this my teeth aren’t moving therefore my braces were removed and I had fillings put in, in a few places in my teeth to get rid of gaps etc due to my teeth being takin out. I never had a gap in my front two teeth, but because I wore braces I now have a big gap and they always need to fill this in and say to me this is classed as cosmetic work and i keep explaining I never had a gap and it was caused by the orthodontic treatment which never worked, also the filling they put in only lasts few months and I have to keep getting this done, what I need to know is have you ever heard of baby roots and was this the case and if I did have them would braces still not work now that I’m 34, and what can I do to avoid paying for cosmetic work which wouldnt have needed doing if I didn’t have orthodontic treatment. many thanks
I Have A Gap In My Teeth, What Are My Treatment Options?
Tuesday, April 23rd, 2013Hi I was wondering if I could get your expert opinion on a problem that I am currently facing , my front teeth has a lot of gaps this is because in my childhood I had calcium deficiency so my milk teeth fell at irregular intervals and the milk teeth were replaced by new teeth after what seemed to be a long time, my upper section of teeth are a bit protruding, I have already consulted a dentist and he has advised me to go for braces, but to go for that option I have to been told that I will need to extract some teeth which I am not ready to under go, due to the simple fact that it seems like it could be a daunting task and I have never had anything like that done in the past… I would be extremely grateful if you could please suggest me some alternative forms of treatment I could undergo which aren’t as petrifying.
How Can I Increase The Size Of My Teeth After My Braces Are Removed?

I currently have braces that have brought my teeth forward as they tilting into my mouth, but they will be coming off very soon.
I also have two peg teeth on either side of my front teeth which are going to be built up.
Unfortunately I don’t think I will be satisfied with my teeth after this as they are very small. What are my options for increasing the size of my front teeth?
Also are there any procedures that don’t require drilling the existing teeth?

My Teeth Are Moving As I Have Not Worn My Retainer As Instructed, What Can I Do?
Monday, April 15th, 2013 I had braces on my top and bottom teeth and they were then removed after about 1-2 years. I was given clear retainers and I haven’t been following my routine for wearing retainers for my front teeth. For a while my front teeth were fine but now my right front tooth is moving closer to the left front tooth. I have a natural gap between my 2 front teeth and my dentist removed one of my molars so that my front teeth would move as my right front tooth used to go over my left front tooth. I have a small gap where my molar used to be and now a gap is being developed between my central incisor and my lateral incisor.
I have started wearing my retainers again for every night now for the last 2 weeks but my teeth are still moving.
What should I do?
