my front tooth roots are removed and i like to have teeth whitening which method is the best

Q. I am considering having my teeth whitened but am not sure which method will work best and the costs involved. An accident when I was 10 (I’m now 32)meant I nearly lost my top right front tooth. I had to wear a gumshield for 4-5 months to stop it falling out, but I ultimately had to have the root removed 14 years ago as it was very sensitive. Since then it has just gotten more and more yellow and I’m quite unhappy with it. 3 years ago I had some minor internal bleaching treatment done where they drilled a whole in the back of my tooth near the root and packed it with some peroxide, which helped a little.

A. The internal bleaching on this tooth is probably the most predicatble way of lightening that one tooth. For the rest of your teeth, it depends on the current colour and how light you are wanting to go. There is a deep whitening treatment called ENLIGHTEN- which in my experience works really well. Alternatively, the in- surgery treatments with the lamp prove to be effective, but not long term- as people often get a rebound in colour.
