My front tooth is a dead tooth and the color is changing. How do I get it whitened?

Q. Hi Rob, My front tooth is a dead tooth i had it treated 23 yrs ago. I had noticed the colour changing darker and now its visible as its one of my front tooths. Can i do to a dentist and get it fixed. My wedding is in two months times the tooth looks awful. Can i get my teeth whitened, will it work?

A. You can whiten root filled teeth successfully but you may need to replace the old root filling. A veneer to help mask the colour may be the best option before the wedding then sort out the root after.
