My front teeth has been lose for a year do i really need to wait for the embarrassing moment

Q. Hi, Im 23 years old and have 4 crowns on my 4 upper front teeth. My dentist recommened them after an assault 3 years ago, He said the impact caused abcesses?I had them all route canaled but only 1 has a post. (I dont know why) The very front right has been lose for almost a year I can feel it move slightly when I suck on my tooth and I can push it with my tounge. I saw a dentist a few months back that said he didnt want to “mess with it” because it may be the tooth thats loose, not just the cap. But after living with this for a year, I’m growing impatient with not being able to bite into anything with my front teeth. Do I really just have to wait for the embarrassing moment when it finally comes off or out all together? Its killing my self esteeme, not to mention I paid heavily for my teeth in the first place. Thanks.

Its very difficult for me to advise you on this as i have no seen your teeth before or after your accident. If your dentist thinks that the tooth may be lose then simply replacing the crown would not be sufficiant. You would most probably need this tooth extracting and animplant put in its place. This is why your dentist is advising to leave it for as long as possible.
I recommend that you book in to see a dentist that specialises in gums and implants (peridontist/implantologist) to examin whether it is the tooth that is lose and what the tooth prognosis is.

Kind regards

I am 61. My front upper tooth is very wiggly – can a dentist replace just one tooth, and how?
