my dentist said there was no difference in between laser and home kit do you agree?
Q. Hello, I’ve been speaking to my dentist about having my teeth whitened. He advised me to go with the take home kit because he believed, the 1hr laser was much more risky in terms of causing damage to gums and blood supply to the teeth as well as an increased risk of tooth sensitivity for up to 6 months. He also said that there was no difference in effectiveness between the 2 techniques. Would you agree with both these statements? Many thanks!
A. The take home kits, in my opinion are much less convenient- but can often have a more desirable colour lift over the days. There may be sensitivity from both methods, which is common, but nothing that can’t be resolved from sensodyne toothpaste!
