Q. Hello, I had some cosmetic bonding on a chip on the front right hand side of my upper 2nd premolar due to a fall 3 weeks ago. Unfortunately 3 days ago, exactly two weeks after it was bonded, it came out. Is it OK to wait 5 weeks until my next routine appointment with my dentist to get it replaced, or would you recommend getting it replaced ASAP? I am staying away from my hometown for another 4 weeks and a trip to visit my dentist is not really that feasible. Also have I got any other options – if it has fallen out so quickly it seems to me that that does not bode well for the future.
