Ive a broken discoloured front teeth how can i get it fixed advice

Q. Hi Dr Solanki, I was just in need of some smile advice! I am currently 24 and male and would like the perfect smile like everyone else! I don’t have bad teeth, infact i think they are quite good. However one of my front teeth and the one next to it were broken as a child and they have been built up using white composite and so look discoloured (Dead) they are greyish and it seems to get worse. I would love to have my teeth whitened and something done for these to match what would you suggest? i also would like my back doubles evening out on one side as they uneven my smile? I can sen d you a picture maybe if that helps? Thanks for you time, Much Appreciated

A. Hi, the first thing would be to book a consultation so i can assess your teeth. however from the information you have provided, i think the plan of action would be:

1: tooth whitening
2:veneers or crowns(all porcelain) on the two front teeth.
3:assessment of the uneven smile on the back teeth to see how best to correct this.

hope this is helpful. And yes a picture would be helpful.

Dear Enquirer, As this is a long standing problem with your tooth, it does sometimes take a while for the healing to occur after a root treatment. Do go back to your dentist who can xray and advise you as necessary. Regard

Hi there, I got crowns after I had an accident at the age of 12 which leftme with two broken front teeth. However, these have become to small in relation to the rest of the teeth in my mouth and I wish to replace them with larger, whiter crowns. Do you service to remove crowns as well as fix them into place? I would also like to get my teeth whitened before I get these new crowns so that my teeth and whiter all over and get the new crowns to match this whiter colour. How much would this whole procedure cost and does your business offer any type of repayment scheme? Cheers,

Since five years my tooth are started to bend extremely which changed the shape of my face. I think the reason is because I bite on mytooth in the night time when I have no control about it. I am 34 year old male. Is it possible to adjust my tooth back to normal? Will this be visibleduring the treatment? How much will it cost? Best regards

Hi, I’m 27 and my teeth are in a terrible state. It’s making me really depressed. I’ve lost one if my front teeth and now two more have broke in half. I have a filling in every tooth due to decay. I know as a child i didn’t brush them correctly. I wish I could change the past because now i am petrified every time I eat. I just hate myself. I’ve seen these programs where people have a totally new smile created and I’m wondering how much it costs?. Kind regards

The costs vary a lot for a major overhaul if most teeth are broken or decayed. If implants and bridges are mixed with natural teeth needing root treatment , crowns & veneers the costs can exceed £10,000 at a private practice. An NHS dentist might extract the worst teeth, simple patches on others and provide a denture for £204.

I noticed I have a black colouring on the back of my front two teeth and the one next to them. I brush in the mornings and at night i have facing on one of the front teeth from where I had an accident when I was youger and worried it may full out so I may have not brushed this as I would have my other teeth, since I noticed this I have been brushing behind the teeth but it has not changed. I just would like to know what it is and how I can get my tooth colour back?

I need to have two teeth extracted and implants inserted. Can this be done at the same time The work to be done is on upper back molar right side space extraction space. Four teeth in all I know would also need a bridge to fill the two spaces How long would this procedure take and what would the costs be. I am a healthy 67 year old woman I cannot think of any other information I can give Thank you

It is sometimes possible to place immediate implants for upper molars, however in some cases it is best to remove the teeth and let the bone heal prior to placing the implants. It should affect the cost signifcantly which I estimate to be around £5000

Is it possible to volunteer for trainee dentists to use me to learn on, therefore getting cosmetic work done at a portion of the usual cost? I really need some help but cannot afford the normal prices. I had a couple of accidents as a child and my teeth have never been strong or white, as a result I have a lack of confidence and I am now 42 years old. Also, they are not straight but I think it may be too late for that. I have tried all different types of whitening gels etc but nothing works. Thanks

The best thing would be to contact your local dental hospital to see if they are looking for patients.
