Is there any treatment for discolouration of gums, which I am told is caused by dead nerves?

Q. Hi, When I was younger I fell and smashed my two front teeth so I now have crowns fitted in place. My gums are slightly blackened where the crown meets the gum line, I have been told this is due to the dead nerves in the gum? Is there any treatment available for this discolouration?,
A. I would advise to see a Cosmetic Dentist for a consultation. You might have to replace the crown.
