Q. Hi i am considering cosmetic dental treatment i have 4 veneers on my front teeth which are a few shades lighter than my other teeth. My dentist has sugessted that she changes them to a darker shade to match the others but i would really like my teeth whitened to match the frone ones.The veneers have been on my teeth for about 7 years they are okay and cause no problems could you suggest what i should do and approx how much it will cost, i have an estimate of 2000 at the moment. thanks julie
A. Tray whitening sometimes called home kits are the best way to whiten teeth in this situation. First get the teeth assessed for suitability ( no leaking fillings etc etc) Then the dentist can choose a suitable strength of product. Usually whiten to what looks like 1 shade lighter than your veneers as the shade will drop back a little . It should be a great result for less than £400.
