I was punched in the mouth and this caused my teeth to be knocked out of place, what are the chances that I will be able to keep the teeth?

Q.
I was recently punched in the mouth, forcing my top teeth quite far back but not out completely.

It was 5 hours later that I was able to receive emergency treatment at the hospital and my teeth were forced back into the correct position.

I was able to get to a dentist some 24 hours after the teeth were put back in place.

The dentist took xrays etc but said he was unable to do anything at that point in time ie. until swelling had gone down and he could see if the teeth would set back in well.

What are the chances that I will be able to keep my own two front teeth?

And if they have to come out what are the options for replacement and costings etc?

Thanks

A.
If the teeth have to come out your options are dental implants, a bridge or a denture. I couldn’t advise you as to whether you will loose the teeth without taking a look you dentist may stabilise your teeth with a splint for a few months to see if they tighten up.
