I started to do my implants now i decided to do invisalign can i leave the post in for so long?

Q. Hi I have a question, About 3 months ago i started to do my implants. I have 2 posts inside and was supposed to go for the crowns soon, Now i decided to do invisalign my dentist said i should wait to finish treatment of invisalign before putting crowns in. My question is can i leave the posts in for so long? And whats the difference if i put crowns in the implants are3 not gonna move regardless.

A. Hi
are you sure you have had implants and not post crowns .if you have had implants the invisalign will not be able to move the implants .and ideally the teeth with post crowns will need to be done at the end of ortho treatment

hi there. until 3 years ago i had 2 crowns upper front. due to abcess after birth of my son upper left crown was removed and replaced with an implant . this was a long drawn out process and my teeth moved to fill the gap. now my lower teeth hit midway up my upper front teeth.( have temporary teeth still at present) been to see a local orthodontist who recommended invisalign. would this be appropriate for me as a treatment plan, as i was told implants cant be moved so with invisalign they can be selective of which teeth to move or not? please advise, at my wits end, need a solution to my teeth. many thanks

Hello I had a bottom left incisor removed recently, would Invisalign be suitable for closing the gap? or Implants? I’d appreciate your advice. thanks

Hi there! We have had several patients that successfully had Invisalign and were bruxists. The question is whether you are having pain from your jaw joint or not. If you have not, then you can go ahead with Invisalign. If you do experience pain from the temporomandibular joint then you will need other treatment. After the completion of the Invisalign, a removable retainer may be better for you in order to protect your teeth from the attrition.
