i lost majority of my teeth can i still eat apples with dentures in and eat normal food is it true?

Q. Hi i have lost the majority of my teeth through rot and gum disease,i only have 3 teeth left at the bottom and a few at the top.im not sure i want dentures, but ive seen that advert where people can stil eat apples with dentures in and eat normal food without them falling out is that true. i am going back to college this year and onto uni next year as a mature student and want to look my best, are modern dentures good as i remember my parents, when i was younger and how awful they looked then.many thanks,

A. The quality of the denture depends on who makes it and the foundation the patient has to work on. It is also possible to use implants to stabilise dentures making them much more stable during eating and talking
