I Lost front tooth I have no gap but I an need Implant

Q. Hi dr Moore i was just seeking your advice on what work needs to be done and the best possible way to get around it. My front tooth was knocked out as a child, i need an implant bu there is no gap, Can this still be done with filing?

A. Hi  Implants are for missing teeth, if the gap has closed up you maybe able to fill the (smaller I assume) space with a filling or veneer

Hope this helps  regards  Andrew

I have a similar situation, but mine is with one of my front teeth. The gap has all but closed. Is there anyway of fixing this without having to use some sort of braces to separate the teeth. I really want as quick of a fix as possible. Is it possible to cut away at the surrounding teeth to make room for some sort of bridge/veneer?

im 17 and i have a brace. the reason i am emailing you is that when i first got my brace they saide i would need amalgam fillings to go ahead with the treatmeant. offcourse i agreed atthe time but i looked in to the side affects of the mercury in them and imatch all of them. ive had them for about a year now and when i asked my NHS dentist to remove them he refused and saide they cant until my brace is off witch i think is quite unfair seeing as though there all in my back teeth with no wires atached to them surely if they put them in they should takethem out. i would be very greatfull if you could email me telling me if you could remove them putting aside that i have a brace. THANK YOU VERY MUCH

Dear Sir or Madam, I would like to enquire how much would it cost to have one of my teeth extracted. The problem is that it was filled as deep as itsroot but the filling has recently fallen out so the half of my tooth is missing which may make the extraction more complicated. Could you send me an approximate price so that I could know how much money would I need to calculate with? Thank you very much. Regards,

Is it best to place an implant in the same sitting as a tooth is removed or, is it necessary to wait for a period of time after the extraction? Also, what type of implants does your practice use? Kind regards,

Hello, I need to get an implant, second last tooth on the right. I have had braces for the last two years – and have a permenent retainer on my front upper and lower jaws. My question is… do I really need to go ahead and get an implant? The thought makes me and my wallet sick. Can I live with the hole or will it get infected… I have it for about a year now and it really does not bother me in the slightest. But are there long term effects of not having this preceedure done?. Thanks

You might be fine Usually you will get some unwanted movement, but not always. As always an opinion from a dentist or orthodontist should be taken
