I have been tongue-tied since birth, would laser treatment be the answer to my problems?

I’ve always had a a tongue tie since birth, but it was never corrected. I’m now 22 and have noticed problems with my speech in the recent years and now that I’m noticing it, it’s getting worse.
I’ve read that laser surgery is the best option and the tongue can heal in a couple of hours, instead of weeks.
Where do I go to get this done, and how much is the cost of laser vs. scalpel?
Finally, will this solve the speech problems as I really feel it’s the tongue that can’t make the movements it needs for correct speech unless I really concentrate.

You will need to ask the dentists in your local area to see who has purchased a laser for soft tissue surgery or get referred to a hospital oral surgery department.
As to whether this will definitely improve your speech- it is difficult to say but if you feel impairment with the movement of the Tongue it cannot hurt to correct an obvious problem and see what happens.
