I Have A Narrow Smile And Large Front Teeth. Would Braces Help To Resolve This Problem?

Q.
Hi Dr Hughes. I have really good size upper teeth but unfortunately when I smile or talk, they do not show up very well. My teeth start from high up in my gum. My front two teeth are bigger in size than the rest of my upper set of teeth. Because of this reason, I have such a narrow smile.
Can you please recommend me the best treatment for this particular problem? I do not want to end up with a life where I cannot smile. Are braces helpful or would any cosmetic surgery be required? Thanks and regards.

Hi, thank you for getting in touch. It’s likely that we may be able to help you. Could you please send a photo in as it’s impossible to advise you without at least seeing your dental situation? Brace suitability would be determined upon a consultation involving scans, etc. If you would like to find out more about the various cosmetic treatments available you can search this website which acts as a handy guide. Regards, Mark.
