How much do lower dentures cost?

Q. How much for a lower set of dentures? I have had false teeth for a long time, every time I go to dentists they never make my lower set right. And I need a dentist who will do this and the cost of it.

A. It is likely that the problem you have is due to a very narrow lower ridge that cannot support a denture. In these cases the denture moves excessively making eating and speaking extremely difficult. Thankfully there is a solution using dental implants. These are titanium “roots” placed in the lower jaw that the denture can be fixed onto.

Costs can vary depending on how many implants are required and the type of attachments used. A typical cost is in the region of £3000 to £4000 but a proper estimate can only be given following examination of your mouth.

Dr Caplan I am a 21 year old male out of Albuquerque, NM. A couple days ago I lost my lower dentures, and I was just wondering how much it might be to replace them. There very important to me, because without them people tend to point and make fun. If you can get back to me that would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time

Hi there, I would like to enquire as to the approximate cost of anchoring of a full upper denture for my mother. Also are the full upper anchored dentures almost palate free ? As she suffers very badly from a gag reflex withher current dentures and as a result doesn’t wear them. thanks and regards

Hi, I am writing on behalf of my mother to inquire about implant supporteddentures to replace a standard set in her upper jaw. Since she had her dentures fitted ( a couple of years ago) she has never gotten used to them at all and cannot eat properly. Implant supported dentures might be the most cost-effective solution and you are the only dentist in Bristol that I can find who seems to be offering them. The picture on your website show a lowerset – is the principle for an upper set basically the same? After having the implants fitted, would her dentures still cover her palate or is there less covering with this procedure? Finally, I realise that a detailed consultation in person is necessary, but what would the approximate cost be for animplant supported set of dentures in the upper jaw? Thanks!

Hello. I am a NHS patient and have a dentist, but Ive lost 4 stone in weight in the last 4 months and my denture has been relined a couple of times. It has totally changed the look of them as they seem very low down now. WhatI would like to know is if you could fix the teeth (already on my denture)to a new palette, and if so, how much would it cost? Thank you.

How many implants would you believe to be necessary to secure a full lower denture. I am starting with the broken roots of 6 of my natural teeth. I was told that their presence would help preserve the profile of the jawbone in that area. My new specialist is now recommending 3 implants, of which I presume only one would be located in this front area. I would have thought that two implants at either end of this preserved area would have provided a better and more stable fit?
