Can I Still Wear Braces If I Have Fillings?

Hello Dr, Mark Hughes, i wanted to know if you can still wear braces even if i lack 1 molar teeth? and i already have an existing 4 fillings? And i am afraid that wearing braces may cause my fillings to break or get destroyed. I also have this tooth grinding dis order .. . i am really scared that its impossible to fix my teeth anymore. and I absolutely don’t want to have to wear dentures! They’re not for me and i dont think they hygienic. So i basically just want to know if its possible for me to still wear braces with the condition my teeth are in at the moment, and fix my dental problems? Is Invisalign the best treatment to straighten my top teeth?

I’ve a slight overcrowding on my top set causing a front tooth to overlap (from centre, 3rd over 2nd). So only cosmetically am i wanting treatment (similar to Holly Willoughbys i’m thinking). I’m not interested in any visibly obvious braces due to my age (21). I’ve already tried my local Dentist/Orthodontist who only offer old fashioned methods. I’ve heard of Invisalign but i’m aware they’d mean many visits as they’re a course. I’m willing to travel for decent results but unable to committ for something over demanding. I’d also prefer speedy work! Please advise where best to start.Thank you.

Hi I have an overbite, would I be eligible for Invisalign?

Hey there,

I want to know if I am eligible for Invisalign. I know it is very hard and vague but I have an overbite pretruding 5/6mm from the lower arch to the tip of the upper arch teeth. I prefer Invisalign to traditional metal braces as it is more comfortable. Would you be able to give me an idea of the pricing structure for overbites and their eligibility. It is a priority that I know I’m eligible before treaking out to a cosmetic dentist.

Can I have discreet clear braces on my bottom teeth?

I’m 23 years old and I’m having braces fitted in a few weeks. I discussed with my orthodontist about having Radiance brackets. I though these would be on the upper and lower teeth but I’ve just found out that they can’t do them on the lower, why is this? Can anything be done to make the metal brackets on the lower teeth look less noticeable? Wont it look silly having clear on the top and metal on the bottom.

Dear Dr Caplan im a 21-year-old girl living currently in UAE , I started orthodontic treatment when i was 11 ,and at 15 I had my perfect desired teeth , but recently im realizing that I have a really big problem that is getting worst day by day , its misplaced midline , my upper central teeth are completely moved to left and replaced by my left latral tooth , im losing my confidence and since im 21 and its really embarrassing to use metal braces , I wanted to know is there any method that this flaw could be fixed at this age ?
