Could I have a dental plate for the missing teeth at the side?

Q. Hi, I am due to have two teeth taken out, which are together, these are at the top and at the side, i wanted to know if i could have a dental plate for the missing teeth at the side?

A. You can definatley have a dental plate/denture but maybe you should consider Implants as they are a more long term solution and also aesthetically they can look like natural teeth. Implants preserve bone and surrounding tissue ( gum ).

my tooth fell out that was a root canal it completley snaped so she cant replace it, the nerve is out. My denist mentioned fitting a plate? However, someone else said it would be better to PEG? What is PEG and would that be better, im only 29 dont really want false teeth. many thanks

My understanding is that you may be able to have a post placed inside the root that is remaining and a crown is fixed on top of this post/peg so that you have a secure restoration.

I am enquiring on behalf of my 96 yr old mother in law. You replaced her bottom false teeth plate in July 2009. She has recently lost another of her own teeth and the plate keeps falling out. Could it be mended? How long would she be without her plate? How much would it cost? Do you have a dentist who specialises in dealing with the elderly, as she felt very uncomfortablewith the person she saw last time around, who didn’t really make any effort to communicate properly with her.

My four teeth bridge has broken it It was supported by 2posts { unsure proper name] My dentist tells me this is not a success unless the two posts holding are implants. In the mean time i have a false plate which is dreadful as it extends to the back of my mouth and I cant cope with it. Until I get any implants done there is another type of false teeth which would be costly but similiar to a bridge ie just covering the front teeth part and not gagging my mouth What is this called.

It might be good to either bring forward your implant placements or consider an adhesive bridge if you’re suitable
