How much would it cost me for a dental implant?

Monday, May 10th, 2010
Q.
I live in Walsall and am looking for 1 right front tooth implant which at the moment I have a bridge from left front tooth over right front tooth. I would need to have this removed and the implant placed, then a crown on the left tooth. I have been told that I am a candidate for an implant, my tooth was taken out 8 months ago. Could you give me some idea of a price please? Thanx,

Do I need fixed braces on the bottom teeth? I only require them for the top teeth…

Monday, May 10th, 2010
Q.
Hi, I had functional braces (to move my jaw), then fixed braces and finally retainers for 2 years. wasnt totally happy with the result. I’ve also lost the retainer for my bottom teeth. Im considering adult treatment but will i need to have braces on the bottom as well as on the top? Whether I’m talking or smiling, you cannot see my bottom teeth…so why does everyone have braces on the bottom! i understand why people have functional braces on both the bottom and top, but why have fixed ones on your bottom teeth when no one seems them? also i had the fixed braces on the bottom for much longer than the top! Thank you so much for answering in advance,

What kind of dental implant treatment would be available for my case?

Thursday, May 6th, 2010
Q.
I have not been able to see a dentist for quite some time now due to financial difficulties. My problem is my front teeth are fine, but I have always had problems with my back teeth. I currently only have only 10 back teeth left. I am contemplating false teeth, if the financial situation improves. What would the difference be between false teeth and dental implants?,

Can you recommend a cosmetic dentist in the Solihull area?

Thursday, May 6th, 2010
Q.
Dear Dr Tennet, My teeth are a total mess due to previous dentistry. I have a dark front tooth because of a root canal many years ago. I cannot decide whether to just get this tooth corrected, or to have my front four teeth improved. I also need my teeth whitening. I need advice! My own dentist wants to do it (in Solihull), but he is quite new in town and I haven’t been seeing him very long. Could you recommend a cosmetic dentist in the Solihull area? Or will a city centre practice offer more experience. Many thanks, Tracy,

Will I get more treatment time if I go private?

Tuesday, May 4th, 2010
Q.
Hi Rob, I have an appt for a root canal at your practice at Cadbury and am deciding whether to go for the nhs or private treatment. I am leaning towards the private treatment due to me wanting the highest possible chance of success. However, I have already been booked in for a 50 minute appt and wondered if with the private treatment you allow more time for the treatment? Also, am I likely to need a crown following this treatment as I need to factor in the cost of that too. Finally, what are the other differences between the treatments. I know they use different equipment. Do they both use rubber dams? The dentist has been brilliant so far so I have great confidence he will do the best he can with the equipment available. Thanks… Thanks…,
