Do I need fixed braces on the bottom teeth? I only require them for the top teeth…

Q. Hi, I had functional braces (to move my jaw), then fixed braces and finally retainers for 2 years. wasnt totally happy with the result. I’ve also lost the retainer for my bottom teeth. Im considering adult treatment but will i need to have braces on the bottom as well as on the top? Whether I’m talking or smiling, you cannot see my bottom teeth…so why does everyone have braces on the bottom! i understand why people have functional braces on both the bottom and top, but why have fixed ones on your bottom teeth when no one seems them? also i had the fixed braces on the bottom for much longer than the top! Thank you so much for answering in advance,
A. The bottom teeth have to fit your top teeth when you close. If they dont line up then something starts to give a teeth start drifting. The best option for you can only be decided after a clinical assesment. Try getting second opunions from someone listed on the General Dental Councils ” specialist list for orthodontics ” Hope this helps Rob

I am pretty sure that I want braces. The problem is, I want invisalign braces, because they seem to barely be noticable. What are the problems that I can face with these braces, and what are my limitations? Is this more effective than traditional braces, and is it worth the money? Thank you. I really hope you can give me an answer quick.
