Q.
My front two lower teeth had root canal surgery about 25 years ago. They are discoloured. So I was going to have veneers over then. However, when my dentist checked the x-ray he noticed an infection around the two teeth. He said is would ne better for me to have the teeth extracted and have bridges a Maryland Bridge. When I researched this bridge I read that the two teeth supporting the bridge can become discoloured. I have also read that if the root is taken out and not filled then over time you can get atrophy. I would like to have dental implants but this can be expensive. Are porclean implants the best? Im not sure what to do? I did ask the dentist if I can have an x-ray every year to see how the infection is and to make sure it has not moved towards tooth number 3 as it is at the bottom of my two teeth I had root canal surgery on and I dont feel anything as the teeth have no feeling,. Can I just have an xray every year just to see how the infection is going, after all it has not caused me a problem for 25 years and just have veneers? If not and I should have my teeth removed what is the best permanent procedure? Thanks,
