I don’t think my Six Month Smile brace treatment is working. What would you suggest?

Monday, September 27th, 2010
Q.
Dear Rob. I had six month smile brace fitted 18 months ago for mild crowding on the front six. The brace has been institu for 18mths and has left gaps in the front that are refusing to close, also one slightly overlapping tooth wouldn’t move. Another problem is i feel it’s pushing my front teeth out as it’s now longer then the others. I keep saying this to my cosmetic Dentist and she says it shouldn’t be much longer, however I honestly think it could possibly take another 18mths. What would you suggest, can the top front tooth be pushed up with another brace?,

What treatment other than braces is available for a crooked smile with gaps?

Wednesday, September 15th, 2010
Q.
Dear Dr Caplan, I am very interested in cosmetic dentistry because I have a crooked smile, I have 3 teeth that stick out and have gaps between them but I was told recently by a dentist that the only option open to me would be braces because the gaps are quite substantial and they stick out quite a bit. Could you tell me what you think. I would get braces if that is the only option but I would love to get something done as soon as possible, would I be able to get the 3 teeth removed and permenant false ones put in to create a better smile ? Thaks so much for your help Kind regards ,

What’s the best and most cost effective way of having teeth straightened?

Tuesday, September 7th, 2010
Q.
Hi there, I have been looking into getting my bottom row of teeth straightened out as they are quite wonky at the front but i am not sure what would be the best and most cost effective solution for me? I know it will depend on my individual situation as to which treatment is best but i was wondering if you had any insights as it is just my front teeth at the bottom that i have the issue with.,

Would invisalign be a good choice for me?

Tuesday, September 7th, 2010
Q.
hey man i have a question for you my front left tooth is overlaping my right tooth in a upper diagonal position it covers up to 20% of my right tooth its also on top like half of it is.( only the very last edge of it is about a half centimeter on top from my right tooth also the left tooth clicks only the edge thats on top i dont know why. My right tooth is nearly perfect it could be easily pushed more to the right about a 6-10%. I wanna know if invisalign would be my best choice or simply a working choice,
