I have a large gap between my front teeth due to gum shrinkage. I have been told veneers wouldn’t work so what are my options?

Q.
I have a large gap between my front teeth. My dentist has told me this is due to my gums shrinking. Im 54 a smoker, the size of the gap looks like a tooth is missing. She doesnt think veneers are suitable as this will not cover the gap. What procedure would be advisable.,

My child’s teeth have relapsed after not wearing retainers. Can they be straightened again without braces and how much would it cost?

Q.
My child (15) has not been wearing his retainers as they broke. His teeth have started to move a little at the top, what can we do to make them straight again without having a brace fitted which would cost a lot of money,

My horrible yellow and wonky teeth have tarnished my confidence and I seem unapproachable to others. Can anything be done to help me?

Q.
ever since i was a young girl, i have hated my teeth, they are wonky, yellow and plain ugly looking, and it has affected my personality! why? you may ask, the simple answer i have never smiled much because of my teeth and so was regarded as cold, or unapproachable. my question is could anything be done about my teeth and if so, how much would it cost (roughly) as i am currently on a career break looking after my little one. hope you give me good news. p.s i look after my daughters teeth obsessively unlike mine!,

Would I be able to get NHS train tracks for my jaw that is moving forward?

Tuesday, November 2nd, 2010
Q.
Hi Julian, Back two years ago I had retainers to bring my jaw forward because it was 0.8 Mm forward than the bottom jaw. I could not keep the retainers in and had them for about 6months, now my jaw is naturally going forward, I measured it about it about 0.4mm. Now that its going forward its self, do you think the NHS will allow me to have ‘train track’ braces? Sorry about my terminology ! My two front teeth have stuck out since I was young, the other teeth are now pushing behind the two front teeth, making them stick out further and now a gap is occuring between the two teeth at the front. What sort of treatment would it require? Would the NHS accept me back? If not, how much would you think it would cost going private. Thanks very much.,

Some of my teeth have moved back because I stopped wearing my retainers after braces treatment. Would I need braces again?

Monday, November 1st, 2010
Q.
Hello Andrew, Hope all has been well, I’ve worn braces for 1 year back in 2004 and then were given retainers, I wore them time to time but was a bit of rebel when it came down to them. Years passed and I realised one of my upper front teeth are moving forward and there’s a gap on the side of it next to another tooth (one next to the canine, how the gap is like a slit) And it’s the same situation below aswell, although this gap is bigger. I’m hoping to get them pushed back but does this mean I need to wear braces again? Or would I be given special sort of retainers that push them back and keep them in place? Hope to hear from you soon, Kind regards,

My bottom wisdom teeth are pushing my other teeth. Could I get braces and pay them off gradually?

Q.
I’m 29 and my bottom wisdom teeth are pushing my teeth and they are beginning to stick out. I work full time and claim tax credits, would I still have to pay full price for the braces or is there a way I could pay them off?,

Is there any braces that could move my two front teeth forward, and would it be possible to have a removable brace?

Thursday, October 28th, 2010
Q.
Hi i have very good teeth with no fillings most are really straight apart from my front two middle top ones just bellow my nose they tend to slant inwards so therefore looks like my two side teeth stick out slightly, i would love to get them pushed forward so there in line with the rest of my teeth, is there any type of brace that i could wear that would correct this problem, also would a removable brace be an option rather than permanent. Thanks for your help kind regards ,
