I have been told to have full dentures as I have gum disease

Hi i have an upper partial denture, i have been told basically i will have to have full dentures as i have gum disease, can a normal dentist do this procedure or would i have to go into hospital for this, and would they take them all out in one go and also how long would i generally be off work for. I would prefer teeth replacement as opposed to dentures please suggest ineffective method

Hi there, I know for a fact I need extensive treatment, my teeth are in a poor state i need at the very least several extractions, I even have a tooth nr the front which is just a root. I would prefer fixed in replacements as opposed to ‘dentures’ and think all the front ones need replacing. would it be very expensive? I am a lone parent and in reciept of tax credits and work pt time so can pay to an extent… Thanks.

Can I have all my teeth extracted?

Hi, I am looking at whether it would be possible to have all of my teeth extracted. Bad teeth run in the family and as a result of this both my parents now have dentures(due to poor teeth). I six crowns(five at the front and one at the back)the three at the front have moved leaving a considerable gap where there wasn’t one before. Most of my teeth have fillings, the fillings are fine but my teeth are crumbling around these. My teeth are very sensitive to temperature change hot or cold(mainly back teeth)and also sensitive to sweet foods. My gums have receeded alot and I can feel the tops of the teeth. I am terrified of going to the dentist as every visit usually ends up with more work needing doing. Any advice you could offer would be so helpful. Many thanks.

I have very bad teeth most at the top are fauls and only have four at the bottom that are not very good tried several set and can not use them what cost am i looking at to get the top sorted and something i can do about the bottom i am very embarrassed about my teeth so i only smile with my hand over my mouth

I have wanted a beautiful smile all of my life, I got upper dentures 2 years ago this month hoping I could finally smile without covering my mouth. Well I hate them. My face doesnt even look the same and you cant see them hardly at all! I am just as miserable as I have always been. Im sure I cant afford implants,I have checked the cost and my insurance does not mention them, but I have no problem paying the best price for the best fitting, most natural dentures. My problem is I do not know who to go to and I know, not everyone does a good job, I am living proof! How do I know what dentist will may my dreams come true? Any suggestions at all would be very much appreciated! Thank You

Hello, i am hoping you may be able to reassure me. i am due to have my 1st appointment in a long while as been on NHS waiting list for 3yrs. I anticipate i may have to have my top 2 central teeth extracted, as i have a gap each side of them. If they need to be extracted in order for a partial denture/bridge to be fitted, will i have a temporary replacement the same time as extraction, as i don’t want to be left with 4 gaps along my top row, especially as i have been told it can be up to 6months before a permanent denture/bridge is fitted due to the healing process. thankyou.

i would like to know the cost of replacing my teeth with dentures

I have always had trouble with my teeth and I would like to enquire about the cost and precedure involved in removing my own teeth and the many fillings, including gold ones which look ugly and replace them with dentures. My lower jaw teeth are worst as I had had trouble as a child with overcrowding and had teeth removed to make way. I wonder if you could advise me.
