Hi im 26years old and because of stupidity and being really scared of the dentist my teeth are in really bad condition.if i get all of my teeth out and replaced by dentures can i get mini implants to keep them secure?and is this available on the nhs?if not how much will it cost as i do not work thankyou very much

Hi I hope you can help, I have had both of my upper back teeth out due to gum disease,my gums have receded and now the next visible tooth is wobbly! I am very anxious about my missing teeth as it is and am scared I will lose the next one also.Also my upper lip seems to have gotten more lined. Can you tell me if there is a procedure to build up your gums again and if I would be suitable for a bridge or partial dentures. I am 42 and do not want things to get any worse.

Hi, 3 years ago I had partial dentures fitted on top row of teeth. I haven’t been back to dentist since and now my dentures don’t fir properly as my gums have obviously receded quite far back.  I dread going back to dentist as they will be angry at me for not going back. I live on an island and have to travel to mainland to dentist which is often not practical as I work full time.  It is so depressing as I would now like to have all my teeth out and dentures fitted but worry about being left without teeth for any length of time in between fittings. My question is, well to be honest any advice would be very helpful and re assuring. Thankyou,

AFTER WEARING DENTURES FOR 20 YEARS THEY ARE NOW LOoSE FITTING BECAUSE MY LOWER GUMS HAVE WORN DOWN AND I HAVE TO USE LARGE AMOUNTS OF POLIGRIP TO HOLD THEM IN PLACE.MY FACE HAS SHRUNKEN IN. IS THERE ANY WAY I CAN GET MY LOWER GUMS BUILT UP BEFORE I HAVE NEW DENTURES MADE.I AM 55YEARS OLD.PLEASE HELP ME.

I would like dental implants to fill in gaps on my upper jaw that are currently filled with partial dentures. There is one gap on each side of the mouth. On the partial denture there are two teeth together. However, the dentist I saw about implants said I needed three each side. I would like to get a second opinion but the consultation cost each time is putting me off. Should I be able to be guided by the amount of teeth on the partial denture? Thanks
