Q.
Hello I have had the same dentures since 1983/4. I have been thinking for some time now that i ought to have another set as i worry that if they break i would not be able to go to work also i would not know where to find a dentist that would take me on(I have not been to one for years) Apart from that i am afraid that new dentures would make me look very different

Can I hv dentures by taking out rest of my teeth?

Tuesday, October 13th, 2009
Q.
I am a 42 year old woman and have dreadful teeth. I only have 13 original teeth left and wear dentures, which i love because they are beautiful and white. My other teeth are full of holes and broken and yellow, Why won’t my dentist take all the rest of my teeth out and give me a full set of dentures. This is what i would really like done and no one will help me! WHY?

Can I hv denture fitted Plz advice

Tuesday, October 13th, 2009
Q.
I have had a partial denture for 20years but my upper teeth have got progressivly worse, my left central incisor has twisted and has receeded the gum quite considerably and is very loose, and has left a large gap between the other central incisor, the next 3 teeth on left upper are missing, the final 3 molars have gum recession also and dont look good. The right central incisor is chipped with slight gum recession, the lateral and canine on the upper right seem to be slightly longer and have slight gum recession, the next 2 molar seem ok, mising the 1st molar and 2nd molar seems ok. Also my teeth do have gaps Would it be better to just have them all pulled and a denture fitted as about half are already missing or need to be pulled. . I am 40yo, your suggestions please.

I m considering mini dental implants for my upper plate Plz advice

Tuesday, October 13th, 2009
Q.
Good afternoon. I am a 46 year old female and am having trouble adjusting to my upper denture. I have had a full upper denture for approximately 2 1/2 years. My original dentist removed my remaining 6 front teeth, and made my denture. After 6 months, he made another upper due to the shrinkage of my gums. The first set did not fit well, even with adjustments, so I ended up gluing them in until he made my second plate. The second plate did not fit well or look good at all. After repeated fittings and adjustments, I kept both upper plates and returned to wearing the original plate made. About 1 year after these plates were made, I went to affordable dentures and had a new upper plate made which was much better appearance wise, and fit alot better than the others. This has been a litter over a year ago, and I wore them for about 4 months before I started having to use adhesive to hold them in. I am considering mini dental implants for my upper plate as I have to use the adhevise several times a day to keep my teeth tight. I have spent what I consider a considerable sum over the years (approximately $3,800.00) for this work. How many posts would be required to hold an upper plate in position and would the implants do what I need them to do? Thanks so much for your time.

Is it possible to have two partials to cover extracted tooth and the gap?

Saturday, October 10th, 2009
Q.
I just recently had my front tooth extracted and am wearing a flipper until my gum heals. I had a natural gap between the tooth that was extracted and the next tooth, I am having a partial made, and was wondering if it is possible to have two partials made to cover the extracted tooth and the gap.
