Q.

Hi
i am really scared of the dentist so hadnt been for about 10 years. i went yesterday and they told me my teeth r in really bad condition. My front top tooth has rotten away and they have told me it needs to come out. they have told me i have got to have a new tooth on a pallet. i really dont want to be stuck with the pallet for rest of my life as im only 25. could you give me an idea of a price i would pay going private for a permanent tooth fitted?
Thanks

Can I have a dental student fit dental implants?

Thursday, January 20th, 2011
Q.

I lost my front teeth when i was young and have a bridge, Recently i have had dentures fitted either side of the bridge, i am finding the dentures impossible to wear and would like implants. I would be very interested in exploring the opportunity of dental students doing this work for me.

Can I get an infection from a missing screw from my dental implant?

Tuesday, January 18th, 2011
Q.

The screw fell out and I am concerned if you can get an infection in that uncovered area because it is tender and the other implant is protruding a little out of the gum area….I have called my dentist but I haven’t been able to speak w/him

Could you give me a guide-price for treatment for four rotten teeth and ‘crumbling’ molar?

Monday, January 17th, 2011
Q.

Hi there I know there are a few similar questions and chances are I need to have someone actually look at my mouth but I am 28yrs old and on a low income. In the past I have had poor dental hygiene, I lived in Sydney and started treatment so I have all my records and x-rays. but I couldnt afford to keep up payments. My bottom back teeth are terrible I have only one full molar and its started to crumble and cause me pain, I also have 4 teeth on the other side completely rotted down to gum, I am terrified of the dentist and in a lot of pain. I was wondering what my options are and I am aware I cant get an exact quote without a dentist examining me but even a rough idea as I am saving to move away again next year and really need it fixed so if I can prepare myself for the cost I can deal with the fear next, cost is also why I am scared of going. Many Thanks

How long do I need to wait until I can have an implant, after having a tooth extracted?

Monday, January 17th, 2011
Q.

I have to have one of my front teeth extracted, I’ll have to wear a denture for three months whilst the gum heals and then I’m opting for an implant. I was just wondering if after the three months is over the implant can be put straight in and also what the temporary replacement is during the 6 month period?

My bone augmentation in preparation for dental implants has been a failure, what do you suggest I do next?

Monday, January 17th, 2011
Q.

I recently started treatment for 2 dental implants to replace 3 missing teeth, I had to have bone augmentation for which the dentist used an artifical bone replacement. This has failed and its now been suggested i have it redone using my own bone at an additional cost of £1400 taking the total cost to just under £6000. My only other option is a 6 teeth bridge which although is one third of the cost I am not sure is the best option, could you please give me your opiniont
