I have one tooth holding my denture do I need implants

Thursday, May 1st, 2008
Q.
I presently wear upper dentures- only two back upper teeth were holding it up. However, about a year ago I lost one of them and it seems I am about to lose the other. What steps should I take if I lose that one other tooth. I will have nothing to hold the denture in place. Should I now get implants surgically implanted in top. Please advise.

I had a dental implant and im not happy with the result

Thursday, May 1st, 2008
Q.
I had dental implant recently which I’m not satisfied at all. It cost all most £8000 and teeth what I have been implant is quite big and wide. It’s not a same as natural teeth I used to have. I’m quite mentally down and looks like to me my dentist haven’t done good job. Even I used to have crystal clear straight nice teeth. I don’t know what to do this situation and spoke to my dentist and said he can’t do much about this. My confrontations are its too long, too wide; colour doesn’t match to other teeth, there are gaps between the teeth. Seriously I need some solution for this what I can do about this. Hope to get reply soon. Thanks!

Can I have a dental implant after having a bridge fitted

Wednesday, April 30th, 2008
Q.
Is it possible to get a dental implant even after having a dental bridge fitted? I had a bridge fitted to cover a single missing front tooth in january 2008 but I’m unhappy with the results. I’m also concerned that I may have left it too late as I’ve noticed that my gum tissue has receeded where the original tooth once was. Please could you advise?

I want the best natural looking dentures but have no money for implants

Friday, April 4th, 2008
Q.
My dentist told me today I have no other choice but to have a full top denture I am so depressed and have cried all day What would be the most natural looking and best denture to consider. I am only 35yrs old I have always had beautiful teeth but due to being a single mother of two boys when I have grinded and broke my teeth from this and not having the money to fix the broken tooth it has then resulted in getting it pulled.

I wish I could get implants but I know that is a dream I will never get due to getting the things for boys they need which comes first. I have never been so depressed getting such news it seems so unfair I work hard but because I am not rich I have to look like a old lady and can’t even eat my food. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I am sorry I wrote so much I am just upset about all this. But If I do have to have these dentures I want natural looking ones.

I had an implant for a incisor and it fell out due to infection and lack of bone

Wednesday, April 2nd, 2008
Q.
I have a front upper central incisor tooth missing which is replaced by denture. I had implant done last year which had to be removed due to lack of bone and infection, my dentist said. I am 30 year old healthy female apart from chronic sinusitis for which i had surgery called FESS. Is the sinusitis anything to do with my implant failure. I was suggested to take next time with bone graft. Would u recommend that how much does it cost in UK?. Many thanks

Ive had dental implants at easman hostital in london and my tooth feels sensitive

Wednesday, April 2nd, 2008
Q.
I received dental implants to replace my two front teeth approximately 6 – 7 years ago. The work was done by dentists at the Eastman’s hospital in London. The implants have been great for the past few years, but in the past few weeks I’ve experienced odd sensations in one of them. the tooth feels tingly and the gum around it is a little sensitive, it’s not painful but there is a ‘throbbing’ sensation. I noticed the feeling shortly after I had a wisdom tooth extracted on the same side and wondered if this could’ve had anything to do with it?

I’m due to go away to South East Asia for four months in just a couple of weeks and the waiting list for a consultation at the Eastman hospital is 18 weeks. Is this something that I can leave until I return, or is it likely to get worse? Also do you have any idea of what the problem might be, I’ve had trouble finding information on problems with implants after they’ve been completed. Thanks in advance for you help. H
