Dentist has told me to get crowns but can I get teeth removed instead?

Tuesday, February 16th, 2010
Q.
I have an overbite and my only teeth that I dislike so much are my two front teeth. They are longer than all my other teeth and starting to overlap each other. I have consulted My dentist and he suggested I have them capped or crowned. What I would really like is to have them knocked out so I can have two new teeth that match the rest of my Teeth which are all in perfect condition. Would you have any other reccomendations as to how I can fix this problem?,

Is there a way to cover unsightly black line?

Tuesday, February 16th, 2010
Q.
Hi, I have a front incisor crown but over the years my gum has receded and exposed an ugly black line. Can you recommend the best way of dealing with this? Is there any way of ‘filling in’ or covering the unsightly black line or would I need to have the whole crown replaced? Many thanks Lucy,

Is it normal for crown to fit right?

Tuesday, February 16th, 2010
Q.
hello, 2 weeks ago i had a crown fitted by a dentist in Atherstone as my orginal filling had fallen out. Since then i have noticed that the crown does not fit the whole tooth,it does inside by by my cheek it only seems to cover the lower half, it has also been at time sensitive , a feeling of little shocks!!. It feels when i run my tonge over it that there it a small gap between where the cap and my own teeth meet., Does this sound right as i am not sure if it takes time to settle, I am very nervous at the dentist and would be grateful for any advice many thanks,

Ihave been advised against getting braces due to my short roots, so i was wondering if there was anything else you could do about it, such as crowns or veneers? any help would be appreciated- thanks,

What is your opinion on going abroad for dental treatment?

Monday, February 15th, 2010
Q.
In the past coulple of weeks a tooth as broken off and caused a few other teeth to break also. At the moment I think the teeth that are causing me trouble, are heavily filled. If there is only filing above the gum line can i still have crowns? I have also looked in to going abroard for treatment, is this a good idea seeing i need about 3 to 4 crowns i think .,
