Will I have to put up with tooth gaps during wait for my implants to heal?

Q.
Hi I am considering dental implants to replace several crowns I have but I am worried I will have to spend months with gaps in my teeth whilst I wait for the implants to heal. Is this the case,

My teeth are sensitive after root canal treatment. Could tooth next to it be causing problem?

Friday, November 5th, 2010
Q.
Hello. I had a root canal 2 years ago and crowned a few months ago. The past 2 weeks I have been getting pain on this tooth if I eat on it and it is sensitive to hot and cold. I have seen an NHS Dentist, who took an xray. She said she cannot see anything wrong with that tooth, but the tooth next to it had ‘shadowing’ around the top and bottom, so she wants to do a filling first, then possibly root canal on the other tooth, which she said could be causing the sensitive tooth to cause me pain. She did say that the tooth previously root canalled had one canal filled right to the bottom and other canal stopped half way down. Would the xray show if the root canal has not worked? And is this sometimes the case that another tooth could be causing pain in the tooth next to it? I am finding it hard trusting this dentist, as they don’t have a very good reputation, but I cannot afford the private dentist who did my original root canal. Thank you.,

Can you immediately put in mini implants after tooth extraction?

Thursday, November 4th, 2010
Q.
Hi I would like to know if you can put mini implants in at the same time you make an extraction? Also instead of using the mini implant to hold dentures in place, would it be possible to put crowns (one single tooth on each implant) for like six in a row and if it is possible how much cheaper would it cost than regular implants. Thanks,

What would be my best option to replace very old crown and how much would it cost?

Thursday, November 4th, 2010
Q.
MY FRONT RIGHT TOOTH WAS BROKEN AS A CHILD AT THE AGE OF NINE. A PERMANENT CAP WAS FITTED AT THE AGE OF 16, AND IS STILL ON NOW (I’M 38), SO THE CAP IS NOW 22 YEARS OLD. I HAVE NOTICED IT IS QUITE DISCOLOURED NEXT TO MY OWN TEETH, AND SITS LOWER ON TH GUMLINE. THE TOOTH TO THE RIGHT OF IT ALSO SITS SLIGHTLY BEHIND IT AND LOWER ON THE GUM LINE TOO. I AM SELF CONSCIOUS AND DON’T LIKE TO SMILE/TALK TO PEOPLE I DON’T KNOW WELL. WHAT WOULD BE MY BEST OPTION TO REPLACE IT, HOW MUCH SHOULD I EXPECT THE TREATMENT TO COST, AND HOW LONG COULD I EXPECT IT TO LAST?,

Can I get a crown for my front lower teeth that are loose due to a tongue piercing?

Wednesday, November 3rd, 2010
Q.
my gums at the back of of my two lower front teeth are worn down due to a tongue piercing which i have now removed. These two teeth are loose as a result of this and my dentist advised that a bridge could not be applied, she mentioned implants but not a crown. Do you think it would be possible to have a crown fitted here?,

My dentist will not remove my upper tooth that crosses over another. I hate smiling! What can I do?

Tuesday, November 2nd, 2010
Q.
One of my upper front teeth crosses over the other and I hate smiling!! When I spoke to my dentist he said there is nothing he can do with it and refuses to take it out and replace it with an implant. What could I expect to pay for an implant and a whitening treatment to the rest of my teeth from yourselves (or is this not possible?),
