After I had my new bridges the sensitivity didnt settle down advice

Thursday, July 30th, 2009
Q.
I lost a top tooth, fourth from front, due to infection four years ago. My dentist fitted a bridge to the next ajoining tooth which lasted three years and then decayed underneath. It kept falling out and in June my dentist removed it, used the remainder of the tooth, strengthened with metal pins and bridged from the my next tooth at the back. On July 6th I went to have my permanent bridge filled. The temporary had been fine but sensitive to cold, which I mentioned. The temp had to be drilled off and this was very uncomfortable in contact with cold, which I mentioned. When the new bridge was fitted it felt fine apart from sensitivity which I hoped would improve. It did not and became worse with my jaw and ear aching and so I returned to the dentist last week who gave me 400g ibuprofen and anti -biotics as he said there is now an infection in the root. He implied that is was my fault as I had not returned early enough, however I had explained about the sensitivity when it was being fitted and was told it would settle down. It had only been fitted two weeks before. I paid £1200 for this work and am very concerned about the resolution of this problem and that I may loose the tooth and bridge. I am also due to go on holiday in less than two weeks time and have lost faith in my dentist. Please advise.

Where can i find a dentist that will fit my bridges quite nicely

Wednesday, July 29th, 2009
Q.
Hi there, am having some problems with my tooth, I have three tooth missing from the left bottom corner, I went to a dentist and was told the best thing to do is to get a bridge for it which I did but the problem is that after a year the bridge comes off. Can you say why does this happen? At the top corner I have another bridge done and it’s over 7 years now and it has never been shaken or have I had any problems with it. The dentist that did my frist bridge is no longer working there so I ending up using another one but to be honest from the start I did suspect am gonna have problems with it, just from the poor communication I had with the dentist, not to mention it did not comes cheap. At the moment am just lost because I will not go back to that dentist at all, the color of the denture is too yellow the tooth is uneven, the only good thing about it is that the bite is very good at the back. When I was having it done it took me oover three months to finish, because the dentist could not get the color right, the bite wasn’t good, on the mobile talking while am having the treatment and the list would go on. Where can I find a dentist that will fit my bridge in quite nicely for me?Am fustrated just now.

Q.
I have had my bridge in for 14 years. It has just fallen off. I went to the dentist twice to have it put back on but it only lasted a few day them came off again. The problem is that the tooth underneath where the bridge fitted on is very sensitive. I have tried denture glue but the bridge keeps coming off. Do you have any suggestions? Thank you.

I would like to know a dentist in chelmsford to fix my loose maryland bridges

Thursday, July 23rd, 2009
Q.
Hello there I am originally from Chelmsford and have all my family still there and am now looking for a really good, sensitive dentist to sort out my maryland bridge in the front that is loose and uncomfortable (it has been there for about 15 years) and also to probably fit a lumineer veneer or porcelain veneer to a front tooth that has recently become very slightly crooked with a gap between the maryland bridge. Please could you let me know if I could be treated in Chelmsford and the cost of both procedures. Many thanks

My dentist has given me a price of just under 6000 GBP for a smile makeover is it reasonable

Thursday, July 23rd, 2009
Q.
Hello Rob, I have been saving for ages to get a smile makeover. My local Smilestudio denist has given me a price of just under £6000. This involves one upper bridge, two crowns, two lower bridges, root canal, filling, whitening, and maybe some veneers. Does this seem reasonable to you? Thanks

Due to my grinding habit i feel my bridges is coming loose any advice or suggestions

Wednesday, July 22nd, 2009
Q.
Last year I had a bridge fitted. The dentist used only the tooth to the right of the gap to fit the bridge to. However, whilst it looks good i find it most uncomfortable. I have been told that I am a heavy grinder although I didnt realise I did grind my teeth until this bridge was fitted and I find I am constantly grindnig on this bridge. Whereas before I was told that I only ground my teeth at night. I feel the bridge is coming loose as I can feel it moving slightly at times and when I floss underneath it I sometimes feel like I have slightly put it out of place but it usually goes back to normally within a few minutes. I would like it replaced or maybe refitted to both teeth either side instead of just the one on the right of it. The gap is, on my right side, the 3rd from my front tooth and the bridge is fitted to the 4th tooth to my right. Any advice or suggestions would be great, but I couldnt afford an implant, so thats out of the question for me. Many thanks for your help

My two molar teeth both have been spilt down can NHS fund me to have implant in molars?

Wednesday, July 22nd, 2009
Q.
Hello,i have always had very weak teeth and they tend to crumble, my hygiene is very good! My two back molars have both split down the middle , i developed a huge abcess here and have been put on 2 antibiotics, the dentist has referred me to the hospital to have both teeth extracted as soon as the infection is cleard, my question is would the NHS (i have a tax credit exemption) pay for me to have two implantsput in there?, when i smile you will be able to see a gap on the side? Also how long do i have to wait after the extraction for the new implants? Thank you
