Can you please advise me on my dental situation?

hi I dont know where to start have not been to a dentist for many years I have been looking at the photos of peoples problem teeth and none of them are as bad as mine .I have very ugly teeth top row stick out very much have two teeth missing and a tooth that is broken. my bottom row are crooked and overcrowded i am 46 and want to get married next year but i cant do it with these teeth i would love a nice smile for my wedding and photographs what would be the best treatment i am very confused with all the things you can have done now also i hace no bite and when i try to put my teeth together it hurts when i go to bed i have a pillow case in my mouth because my teeth closing makes my jaw ache . I hope there is something out there for me thankyou for your time.,

How can I fix my larger front top teeth?

Hi there, I just wanted to ask a quick question. I have very big front top teeth (4 top incissors), and I am very conscious of them. I have had braces in the past, and my teeth are straight, but they still look very bad, especially when my lower teeth are much smaller. Is there any way to fix something like this? I’m happy with my white fillings, what do you suggest?

I am an NHS patient, I have white fillings in my two front teeth at the top, due to the enamil being ripped off when my fixed braces were removed as a kid, since then I have been brushing my teeth away, I am very unhappy with the feel ( they are lumpy)and colour (darker than my real teeth) of my teeth i have spoken to my dentist about it but he dismisses me and says I will have to pay private if I want it fixing – I wore braces for three years in my teens, Is this true that I will have to pay private or suffer his patch up?,

Can you recommend a cosmetic dentist in the Solihull area?

Dear Dr Tennet, My teeth are a total mess due to previous dentistry. I have a dark front tooth because of a root canal many years ago. I cannot decide whether to just get this tooth corrected, or to have my front four teeth improved. I also need my teeth whitening. I need advice! My own dentist wants to do it (in Solihull), but he is quite new in town and I haven’t been seeing him very long. Could you recommend a cosmetic dentist in the Solihull area? My back molar is turning black, why is this?

I am a 24 year old female. I’ve always had weak teeth, but healthy. I think my oral hygeine is great, as I usually brush 4 times per day and floss twice daily. I just noticed that the back molar on the upper right side of my mouth is turning black (only half of it). I have a filling in that tooth that I received around the age of 15 or 16. I am certain that it was not black last week. I have recently been put on antibiotics and allergy medication (Levaquin, Allegra, and Nasonex) for a sinus infection. The tooth doesn’t hurt at all. I have made an appointment with my dentist, but could not get an appointment until two weeks from now. Should I try to get an appointment with another dentist sooner? What type of prognosis should I expect?,

Can you recommend a surgeon who can either fix my teeth or lips?

Hi, When I smile, my teeth don’t show. However I got nice straight and all levelled but small teeth. I think this is got to do with my lips which need to go higher to show my teeth. I ma very camera conscious and refused to smile in picture and it upsets me enormously, can you please suggest me ways or suggest me surgeon who can fix either my teeth or my lips? I am confused about what to get check and change. Thanks,

Is the small bump on the back of my mouth my wisdom tooth coming through?

I am a 16 year old girl. Back in Feb ’08, I’d got a really painful toothache in the last tooth of the right side of my lower jaw. So the following month, a permanent black filling helped me to rid of the pain. Unfortunately in a few weeks’ time, a small bump occurred right at the side of the filled in tooth, outside the mouth. I know that this has something to do with that filling, and is not an ordinary pustule. An X-ray was taken by my dentist who said that the small bump is a result of the early development of the wisdom tooth. Then in May ’09 that small bump burst. It gave out a lot of pus and some blood. This continued for a few months. Now at that site the skin folds. What’s going on? Am I suffering from something serious? Should it be corrected by oral and plastic surgery? Please help. I am really worried.,
