Is the small bump on the back of my mouth my wisdom tooth coming through?

Q. I am a 16 year old girl. Back in Feb ’08, I’d got a really painful toothache in the last tooth of the right side of my lower jaw. So the following month, a permanent black filling helped me to rid of the pain. Unfortunately in a few weeks’ time, a small bump occurred right at the side of the filled in tooth, outside the mouth. I know that this has something to do with that filling, and is not an ordinary pustule. An X-ray was taken by my dentist who said that the small bump is a result of the early development of the wisdom tooth. Then in May ’09 that small bump burst. It gave out a lot of pus and some blood. This continued for a few months. Now at that site the skin folds. What’s going on? Am I suffering from something serious? Should it be corrected by oral and plastic surgery? Please help. I am really worried.,
A. Hi I would recommend you voice your concerns to your dentist or seek a second opinion. Unfortunately I cannot suggest what to do without looking at the mouth.
