Q.
I am 62 and on an extended holiday to Turkey. My crown fell out and there is not enough left of the origninal tooth to attach it to. The dentist recommended a bridge be fitted which would cover 2 teeth and 2 spaces in between. I am unsure of this treatment. I only have 5 weeks left before returning to the UK. He has given me antibiotics to take 2 days before root removal. The cost of the treatment including the bridge would be £350. Is there an alternative to this treatment. Must I have the root removed quickly or can I wait till I return to the UK. I know the dentist, I have been to him before and he is reliable, but I am wondering on this occasion if he is giving me the correct advise. I can’t leave the gap as it is next to my eye tooth and you can see the gap when I smile. I would be grateful for any advise you can give me. Thank you,
