Can I have implants to replace adjacent teeth?

Q. My dentist tells me that I have to lose two adjacent teeth on the lowwer jaw right at the back (not wisdom teeth because they never came through). Can I have implants to replace these at a later date or should they be done at the same time as extraxtion?,
A. That is difficult for me to say. Your best option is to see an Implantologist as they will be able to tell you whether it is best to extract the teeth first and then put the implants in after the bone has healed and formed, or, whether they will be able to extract the teeth and put the implants straight in. There are many underlining factors involved that they should be able to explain to you.
