I Feel Like I Get Judged About The Patches On My Teeth, But I’m Not Old Enough To Have My Teeth Whitened. What Can I Do?

On my front two teeth, one of them have a big white patch and it makes the rest of my teeth look more yellow than they actually are. And I’m starting to get a few others and the front of my upper teeth. I want to try whitening them but I’m afraid that white patch will get whiter, and I really want it off because I don’t feel comfortable with it and I feel like people are always judging about it. My dentist says I have to wait until I’m either 16/18 to get it off (he didn’t say how) but I don’t want to wait that long, what can I do?

I Need A Lot Of Cosmetic Work On My Teeth, But There Is No Way I Can Afford £5000. How Can I Find A Way To Get The Treatment?

Hi, I’ve just been to my local dentist and he has told me I need a lot of cosmetic work doing on my teeth which is going to cost £5000. I have an NHS exemption and have been told I can’t get any help with the cost. I struggle with the way I look due to my teeth and try not to smile so no one sees them. Can you suggest if I am able to get any help at all as I have very little money but can’t keep going on the way I am. Thanks. I hope you can provide some advice.

I’m Unsure Which Braces Are More Suitable For Me. Invisalign Or The Inman Aligner?

Hello Dr Moore, I hope you can help me with my query. I have the choice to use Invisalign or Inman aligner. My dentist has explained that Inman aligner is only for the front teeth which is my biggest concern. But he has pointed out that my upper teeth behind my k9s don’t run how they should but instead curve into my mouth if you understand what I mean. I was wondering whether Invisalign has the ability to pull back teeth towards my cheeks therefore correcting this problem? I’d be grateful for any information you can provide.

I Had A Root Canal Recently And The Pain Is Still Intense. Antibiotics Don’t Seem To Be Working. What Should I Do?

Hello Dr Moore. I’ve had really painful toothache on a crowned tooth which has previously had root canal work on it since last Sunday. I have taken amoxicillin 500mg for 5 days. The pain is still really intense and I can’t eat or drink as it flares the pain to intensity even further. What do you suggest is the best course of action? Do you recommend extraction? The crown has been fitted over a year ago now and I have noticed my crowns coming away from the gum line possibly due to receding gums. Really hope you can help me with this. Many thanks.

I Have Not Visited The Dentist For Some Time As I Have An Overwhelming Fear. I Need My Cracked Teeth Fixed.

Hello Dr Moore. I have not visited a dentist in a long time, this has lead to an overwhelming fear which I find hard to overcome.

Due to this, my four wisdom teeth are broken in half and have been this way for some time, some of the rear teeth are cracked slightly and I have half a tooth on my left side.

I was working with the military
for a few years, and with a bad diet and lack of dental hygiene, this has unfortunately developed.

I have not visited a dentist due to fear – is it possible to seek help through the NHS for elective surgery to fix my teeth?

I Had A Brace Fitted A Few Years But Now The Gap Is Coming Back Between My Front Teeth. Please Offer Some Advice?

Hello Dr Moore. The problem I would like advising on is that I had a brace fitted when I was younger about twelve years ago to fix big gaps in my teeth as I have three missing wisdom teeth which have never grown through. After braces I had a permanent brace fitted behind my teeth to keep teeth together but now the gap is coming back between my two front teeth. It looks horrible and you can see the wire between my two front teeth. It has made me very self conscious. Please could you advise me on what can be done? Do you know why this has happened? Hello Dr Moore. About one third of one of my back molars broke off a while ago, and as I have a huge fear of dentists I have not been to see anyone about it. Now it is really hurting, I bit into something and it was excruciating, an now it’s constantly aching. I suffer from anxiety, and I was wondering if they would offer gas to put me to sleep as I also have a huge phobia of needles. Also would you be able to give me an idea of what I might be in for? I Have A Protruding Fang Which Bugs Me, Should I Have It Removed?

Hi Dr Moore, as I’ve grown up, I was meant to have braces when I was younger but I didn’t because my mum neglected it, so I ended up with one protruding tooth on my top row, it looks like a fang which bugs me. After many years of feeling self-conscious about this, I would really like to see if there is a way I can get a relatively normal smile. It doesn’t have to be perfect, I just want the fang removed or something along those lines, please offer your advice and help me with this matter on what would possibly be the best course of action. I Would Like To Know If A Maryland Bridge Is At All Suitable For Double Teeth?

Hello Dr Moore, I have a question I’ve been wondering about. Can a Maryland bridge be used for double teeth or are they only for the front single teeth?
I have a double tooth snapped off and I wonder if once extracted it could be replaced with a Maryland bridge.
I also have a single tooth snapped off that I think needs to be extracted. The single tooth is next to a tooth that has one side of the metal wing of the Maryland bridge attached to it. Is it possible to attach another wing to the same tooth? Thanks for answering my question, it’s much appreciated.

I Have Brown Stains On My Teeth As I Smoke And Drink Coffee. What Can I Do To Get Rid Of Them?

Hello Dr Moore, I currently have brown stains on the front of my teeth that are ingrained on the lines where my fillings have been put in and from smoking and drinking tea/coffee, is there a way to remove them? They are very ugly and noticeable and making me not want to smile any more at all! Can you help me with this? They are horizontal brownish lines and on four of my teeth every time I smile I can see them. If there is a way to fix them how much would it cost and what solutions could there be? I smoke around about five cigarettes a day and drink quite a few cups of tea and coffee daily!
