Is There Any Practice In The North Which Does Pinhole Gum Rejuvenation? Or Do I Need To Travel To London?

Hi Mark. I’m very interested in having pinhole gum rejuvenation after seeing it on the web. I have found several practices that do this procedure but they’re all in the south east of the country and I live in the north east. I was wondering if you knew of any one in the North who could carry out this procedure? My gums have receded very badly particularly on my bottom teeth. I do see my own dentist every six months and brush and floss twice a day. I thought it was something I would have to live with until I saw this procedure.

I’ve Been Diagnosed With Bone Loss And The Treatment They Have Given Me Has Had No Effect Over The Last Three Weeks. What Should My Next Step Be?

I am a 43 years old divorced mother of two and have been diagnosed with bone loss on the upper right and lower right of my face. I am being treated with chlorhexidine gluconate. I have been using this for 3 weeks now and have seen no improvement. I also suffer from graves disease. What should my next step be? The receding gums seem aggressive and this was not being treated at all by my dentist. He did my fillings and then the pains began – since January I’m now being treated by an orthodontist who assured that dentures will not be needed any time soon. Is it time to order veneers as my teeth are also discoloured and ugly. Please help. Your answers will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Hi Mark. Is It Possible To Have My Teeth Removed And Replaced With Implants?

Hi Mark. I was wondering it’s possible to have teeth removed and replaced with implants? My two front teeth grew out of line from my others due to an accident when I was young in which I smashed my face off concrete and ruined my baby teeth. I tried braces when I was younger but I didn’t like the bullying that came with it. I realise procedures like this could be costly but as I’m now 23 years old I need to do something about it. I’m Concious Of My Smile Now That My Crowns Have Dropped. What Can I Do To Fix This?

Dear Mark. I have 2 post crowns on the upper right 1 and 2. The 2 crowns have dropped and they are now longer than the rest of my teeth. They have been like this for a little while. As far as I know there is no reason for them to have dropped. There is no movement of the crowns they have just dropped. I am very conscious of it and try not to smile as much. Can the crowns be filed down so they are the same length as the rest of my teeth or will I have to get replacements? If so, would I need to have new posts as well? I have been to the dentist who took X-rays and he said that they are fine and ‘well stuck in’. He gave me no help what so ever, he just wanted to get the next patient in. Any information you could give me would be gratefully received. Thanks.

Hello Mark. I Don’t Know Whether To Have Root Canal Treatment Or Not. Can You Advise Me?

Hello. I have a badly decayed molar in my mouth. It is on the right side of my mouth on top; second to the last. I went to my dentist last year in October. He filled the tooth as much as he can. However, as instructed only a temporary fix until my insurance “kicked” in. He said it was badly infected at the time. It also had a huge hole from a bad filling and a cavity. He told me to get a root canal and to put a cap on it, If I choose to pull it, not advised, then all my teeth would eventually shift. I don’t have a clue what to do, either pull it or have a root canal? I have read the pros and cons for root canals. Please advise. Financially I can’t afford a root canal.

I’m Visiting London And My Crown Has Broken. Should I Wait I Go Back Home Or Fix It Now?

Hello Mark. I hope you can help me out. I’m visiting London for two weeks, but my crown on my front tooth has just cracked in half. I would like to fix it when I am back in the states, but I don’t want to risk it falling off or breaking more at the moment. Is there something I can do temporarily? Or will I need to replace the crown now, while I’m residing in London?

I would like to know my options before I have to make a decision so any help you could provide me with would be useful.

I Had An Apicoectomy Last Week. Will My Gums Grow Back And How Long Will It Take To Heal?

Hello Dr Hughes. I had an attempted apicoectomy last week. He cut a lot of my gum to expose tooth number 19. Because of an infection the Dr felt he did not want to take any more bone away and I should go the implant route. He closed me up. My gums along the tooth and teeth 20 21 22 are very exposed and sore. I feel as if the roots are partially exposed like I had significant recession. Will this gum grow back and what should I do if it doesn’t? I am in quite a bit of pain at the moment. Could you help me and tell me what I should do. Thank you.

After A Gum Infection My Dentist Said My Tooth Has Five More Years Left. What Should I Do?

Dear Mark. I had a root canal on my upper front tooth. This tooth had a plastic material fitted as it was half broken 10 years ago. How long do I have to wait before I can have a porcelain crown fitted on the tooth, as the gum has a visible gap and there is some significant aesthetic damage? Also the dentist left me with a gum infection to deal with and said my tooth has five more years and that I would need an implant. What is the best thing to do as I am a young and attractive and this is getting me down?

Hi Mark. My son is 5 years old and is not registered with a dentist as we have not long recently moved. And the past couple of days he has been complaining/crying with toothache. I have been giving him children’s paracetamol but it seems to be getting worse. His school looked in his mouth and said his tooth was growing in the back but when I’ve looked in his mouth and the tooth is a bit black and it looks like it’s got a hole in. Hi Mark. I hope you can help me with a problem I have. I’m curious to know if I can wear braces even if I have an incomplete set of teeth. In my upper part I don’t have a second molar and a first premolar and in lower part I don’t have my second molar? My teeth seem to be separating from each other. I want to know because I’m set to visit my dentist and I want to know if it’s worth asking for braces. I just need to know first so that if it’s impossible I will not go to my dentist.
