Hello, I was just wondering what options I have.
I currently have braces that have brought my teeth forward as they tilting into my mouth, but they will be coming off very soon.
I also have two peg teeth on either side of my front teeth which are going to be built up.
Unfortunately I don’t think I will be satisfied with my teeth after this as they are very small. What are my options for increasing the size of my front teeth?
Also are there any procedures that don’t require drilling the existing teeth?
Thank you very much for your time.

How Can I Increase The Size Of My Teeth After My Braces Are Removed?
Tuesday, April 16th, 2013Can I Get A New Gold Onlay To Replace My Composite One?
Monday, April 8th, 2013Hi, i have a composite inlay on the lower back molar, it got slightly chipped recently from having a wisdom tooth extracted which was next to it. I now want a gold onlay and have the old composite inlay taken out and the decay cleaned from underneath it. My question is how many carats of gold would be best suited to a back molar inlay and do the nhs do this under their treatment? (would 22 carats be good?) Also is it a good idea for me to request them not to add nickel, beryllium and cobalt (base metals) as these are commonly allergic metals and I am generally sensitive to lots of things. Thank you.

Are there any alternatives to crowning for fragile teeth?
Monday, March 18th, 2013Hello Sir,
To start with, i have flourine rich teeth which has made my teeth fragile and little bit spotty in appearance. In addition, my front two teeths are bigger in size than the rest (Bunny smile) and the gap between the front two teeth is significantly noticeable. In order to have a proper smile, I was wondering whether it would be advisable to go for crowning, or is there any other way to deal with this? Any suggestions would welcome.
Regards

Lack of explanation of intense pain in tooth with root canal
Thursday, February 14th, 2013I had a root canal on tooth #19 about a month ago. I was fine after the procedure. A week later, I went in to get the crown fitting and a post placed. I had intense pain after that was done and 5 days later, I couldn’t feel the left part of my chin and the three teeth next to the one with the root canal felt crowded and tight. I went back to the dentist and he said he had no idea why I was experiencing numbing since they had not done any surgery and therefore, it was unlikely that my nerve had been damaged. He put me on antibiotics and steroids, but it is now it’s now 2 weeks later and the numbness and tightness is still there. The dentist is doing a “wait and see” approach and I am not sure if I should go somewhere else. Could there be more harm in waiting for the numbness to go away? Or is it possible that the nerve just needs time to heal? Please advise me!
I would like to replace my gold crown and wish to know more information about the crown and the cost involved.
Thursday, February 14th, 2013 Hello Dr Moore. Today I have been for a check up with my dentist. I was informed that I needed a new crown. The present one is gold. The tooth that needs the crown is at the back of my mouth. I am a NHS patient I wanted to have a gold replacement however, I was adviced that the NHS do not replace gold crowns with gold and If I wanted gold I would need to be a private patient. Instead I would now have to have a silver.on NHS so I asked what materials and metals were in the crown . The dentist was not able to answer my question.Nor could anyone else at the surgery. I was told to check online.
Also I was asked to pay for the treatment before any work would take place. I have paid £209 is this usual practice? I have never paid upfront before.
Is My Bridge Making My Mouth Taste Bad?
Friday, February 1st, 2013Hello Doctor Mark Hughes, I hope you can help me. About a month ago I had a four crown bridge fitted & also one single crown. Now i have a horrible taste in my mouth that seems to be getting worse. it feels like it is coming from the bridge but i cant be sure. There is no smell. Is this normal & will it go away. Will it poisoning me? I floss & take good care to remove any food from under the bridge. I have also just lost an old gold crown which has not yet been replaced though it dosnt feel like the taste is coming from there. Any advice you could give would be greatly appreciated. I look forward to reading your response and thank you in advance
My Crown Colour Doesn’t Match My Veneer. What Should I Do?
Monday, January 7th, 2013Hello, three years ago I had cosmetic dentistry done on my two front teeth. I had a vaneer on one and a porcelain crown on the other due to damage. I was really happy with the appearance of them, they were slightly whiter than my other teeth but looked good due to my dominant front teeth smile. A few weeks ago I chipped the crown and had to have this crown redone. I once again selected the full porcelain crown. After getting home and checking in the mirror there is an obvious colour difference between the veneer which is whiter and the new crown which has a yellower tone. I am unhappy in myself about this coulour difference. It now looks like the whiter veneer is the odd tooth out. What would be your advice into getting this work rectified or redone? Thanks
