Will Having 25 Metal Based Crowns Cause Oral Galvanic Effect?

Q.
I have a questions about having several metal based crowns and the “Oral Galvanic Effect” caused by having too much metal in ones mouth. What are strong alternatives? It is a very long and painful story but I need 25 crowns! I know it seems outrageous but I have to have a full restoration because of sever TMJ Disorder. I have all temps now and i am afraid to put THAT much metal in my mouth. 400 words is a lot!
A.
There are many different “metal free” solutions to the replacement of old dental amalgam fillings and crowns with metal. There are also ways to remove these old dental restorations to reduce the exposure to the metals whilst taking them out. This is one of the treatment types that we have expertise in. Exactly what is required and the complexity needs to be assessed first.

The best thing to do is come for a detailed examination and consultation so we can assess your needs and come up with an appropriate treatment plan for you.

Kind regards
