I have six upper front crowns due to tetracycline staining. They are four years old. One of them has completely broken including the tooth. The others will probably follow suit so I wanted to have all six teeth removed and have a bridge fitted so I no longer have to worry about the next expensive disaster. Embarrassment too. Please tell me this is reasonable. I am 51 and allergic to several dental bonding agents too.

Hi, I really need help with my teeth. All my front crowns are coming off and I find it hard to eat food as I’ve lost my confidence. I’m looking for a student dentist because I haven’t got to much money now. Can you recommend anyone? I did try the NHS but they don’t seem to want to help. Can you help? My front crown has been coming forward and now leaves ulcers on my bottom lip. My dentist referred me to an orthodontist. I said that I feel the front jaw is moving forward, she said that I would be better trying to reduce size of the crown as braces take a long time. I do have a overhang and also small chin, but I have also noticed I’m starting to spray as I talk and have woken up a couple of times choking, could this all be part of my jaw alignment and can anything be done? Good evening. I have purchased a deal online to get my crowns re-done with a lighter colour. I would like laser teeth whitening and I know this does not work on fake teeth hence the reason for my purchase of new crowns. However, I am doing the procedures separately as I found a separate deal on Groupon for £79 for Zoom! teeth whitening in Kensington. Should I get the whitening done before replacing the crowns, and will it be OK that the procedures are separate? Also is Zoom! a good make? Thank you.
My 3 year old has 3 crowns and one of them is turning yellow. Should I be concerned that there is decay underneath? She doesn’t complain of any pain at all. The crowns were done at 2 years old and she had a fall in which this cap that is turning was resurfaced. Please give me some idea of what can be done, if anything, that won’t be a traumatic experience for a three year old, as she has been though a lot already. Thank you.
Hello. I am a 68 year old lady. My crown broke off next to my front teeth so the dentist did my front tooth with two side back teeth which she said would hold in better. Should the plate come half way down my teeth? My bite hits the plate and seems to push the bottom jaw to the side. It doesn’t feel right, it’s putting pressure on my front teeth wich are crowns too. I am really worried and don’t like wearing them. They cost me 290 pounds so what can I do? Thanks for your time.
Hello Dr Gambroudes, my question is this: I had braces when I was younger, but my teeth have changed shape considerably in the years since I had orthodontic treatment. My bottom front four teeth and top four front teeth are really bent, and I have two holes on the top four. It really makes me lack confidence, and my top teeth are beginning to chip away which makes me feel even more self-conscious. I would love to have some crowns put in, can I get this done by my local NHS dentist? And how much would it cost roughly for eight crowns? Please help, any answers would be such a big help to me as I’m dying to get this fixed.
Hi Marcus. I have a lower 3 tooth bridge. I have had it in place for over 20 years now and it recently became loose on one side. I had a recent X-ray and my dentist told me that the molar which is anchoring it in has lost a lot of tooth structure. This tooth already has a root canal on it. He said by the X-ray it looks like too much tooth has been lost and recommends leaving one tooth of the bridge in place and removing the other 3 crowns of the bridge as well as the molar that has decayed away. Have you ever seen this situation and is there anything else that can be done to preserve entire bridge? Thank you.
Hi Mark. I have just paid nearly four thousand for two dental implants, and I was quoted almost fifteen hundred for two bridges for my upper right jaw. Would I get this cheaper by going abroad to get this work done? I was thinking about going to Croatia as I am familiar with certain areas of the country. Could you make a recommendation for anywhere else outside of the UK within a price range that I can afford. Do you know how many visits it would take for me to get this work done also?
